Babbitt was like 16th. Much closer to 12th than 2nd round.

Lamb was 12th pick last season. He's hardly played at all.

Jrue Holiday was #17. He took a couple of years to evolve and was drafted on potential, but it paid off. That would be the goal for the Blazers. Gambling on a young talent that could develop in two years.

We already have a good project in Leonard. And more money to spend if we're not in the draft. Lillard is ready to dominate now. No time to add more projects.

With the 13th pick in the 2013 NBA draft, the Charlotte Hornets select.......

This is true and if we don't get the pick I will not be devastated. The draft is a crap shoot. I understand this. But it also is a good way to turn you franchise around. You still have to build through the draft even if you are thinking 2-3 years down the road. Back in the day you might get lucky and get a Clyde Drexler at 14 that needed 1 year to develop. Now you have to hope for a Jrue Holliday type that isn't ready now, but could be 2-3 years down the road.

It certainly takes some luck, but a pick in this range is still valuable if you have the right people making the choices.

We need to handle Utah twice, redemption against memphis, beat dallas, golden state twice, lakers once and beat Houston and I think we are in great shape. We may lose tomorrow; but I think we come out 10-3 the rest of the way with losses only to okc (once on the road), Denver and clippers.

That's would great. Here's to hoping. We certainly would've earned the playoffs at that point. And how quickly would we become "the team that no one wants to play"?

I've always said that our tight rotation is more suited for the playoffs. If sas is #1; we have a shot at taking them down. It would be the perfect storm.

If for no other reason I would love to see us make to the playoffs just to see Lillard on that big stage

Speaking of did Lillard ever play in any tourney games?

Edit: I just checked and he never did. NIT and CIT but not NCAA.

You pay me $25 a month til October I'll get you in to the game........ It will be like a lay-away plan. I'll even throw in a Babbit or Nolan jersey.

I've freed up some time to do your basement remodel. Still interested?

Man I wish! Not quite ready.

Let's wire it like this dude's media room:

PS: I wonder where ol' Bob has been hangin' out these days?............

Shit.... I would love to have that man cave!

So how did I do? I said 3 or 4 wins........ what are we at right now?

I remember I said I'd be optimistic and say we finished with 35 wins. We're at 33. I was clearly optimistic.
