Was Curry or Ellis hurt? (didn't get to watch much of the game) How the hell could Mark Jackson not put the ball in either of their hands in favor of Nate Rob? That's mind-numbing.

It makes a ton of sense. Robinson was on fire for much of the game while Monta was off. It didn't work out for Mark Jackson, but more coaches should learn to ride the hot hand.
Bigger issue for them though is the flawed roster. They couldn't play Curry, Robinson, or Ellis at once because of the height difference. They need to trade Monta and start Thompson at 2.
I'd be willing to give up Gerald and Wes for Monta and Wright if they want. We'd lose quite a bit of our capspace, but it would be worth it.

Mark Jackson said Monta wasn't feeling well all day and he even told him to go home earlier in the day. Don't know about Curry - maybe his ankle was falling off again.

There's definitely something wrong there. Early speculation from GS fans is either that MJ was pissed that he wasn't closing out on shooters or hes been traded. I would guess something more like the former than the latter, but Ellis wouldn't simply agree to sit out the final stretch unless he had a life threatening illness and if it were simply a case of Nate making some shots in the 4th I think MJ would have just said that.

Agreed. Until 3 weeks ago, Matthews' contract was universally considered a steal. He's in a slump right now and has no confidence. I have faith in him getting his game back soon enough.

I can't believe Felton is on the floor most of the 4th quarter. Crawford was doing a much better job tonight of balancing his shooting and distributing and it's obvious Elliot Williams is a lot better defender.
By the way does anyone else get the impression that the reason Felton loves to stand out on top pounding the ball, is because it gives him a chance to rest??!!

Felton played some nice defense tonight, and Curry and Ellis both had bad games. Hard for me to be mad at Felton tonight, considering how hard it's been for Portland to win in Oakland in recent years.

Not necessarily a mystery with Ellis. Don't know about the Northwest, but there is a REALLY nasty "bug" going around in the Bay Area. My department has 7 people and 4 have missed extended work time, including me, and I never get sick. Ride the commuter train and you hear nonstop hacking. Kind of hard to play basketball when you can't get a full breath. I realize I'm not in NBA condition, but I got exhausted, literally, walking all of 2 blocks to the pharmacy.
