Blackmon looking goood! BTW

ESPN said he is either going to Oregon or USC... man I hope its Oregon. He is a special athlete. I wonder if Farmer going to USC actually made him want to go there? How many schollies does USC have to give though? And why would he want to go to a team that won't be that good for a few years. Maybe no BCS while he is there period while Oregon might go to a BCS game every year he is in school.

They must be offering some serious $$$

I hope we get every prospect set to commit from the two All american games. At least the ones considering us.

Auburn just got a commit. It looks like all but 2 people who said they are going to commit today have done so. Sumler and Blackmon would be so damn sexy.

Clowney is incredible. Might be one of the best DEs in college next year.

Great post. I'm looking at this for a guide to some of our guys or prospects.

Odd post on scout recruiting forum (couldn't read w/o sub) that said "Blackmon to be a bruin :(" but that can't be right. He dissed them. And even ESPN said it is between USC and Oregon.

Expect the unexpected scares me.

he did call us OU and said "I knew Frost would take care of me" which doesn't sound right, lol.

Commentator just said Oregon has become so national due to our success.

Awesome news! Thanks for keeping those of us not watching the game up-to-date!

I'm going to edit that original post as Delvon Simmons is no longer going to announce as he has decided to visit Florida first

with 20 verbals in they're up to #7 class on rivals... as it stands this already is arguably Oregon's best class ever

Dawson, Lyerla, Lee, Heyward, McReynolds, Simmons, Koa Ka'ai & Jackson are the main remaining realistic targets. Should continue to be a fun ride :)

thanks for the update last night. The wife had some car torubles so couldnt catch the game. Great news on Blackmon, and if what I read is true about Sumler recruiting Blackmon hard... that can only bode well for how solid Sumler's verbal is me thinks.

also to kinda hijack a post from someone over at DT... We have 20 verbals already, there isnt much space for what maybe 4 more verbals? He mentions you might lose one on LOI day like Mccain last year to Cal, but you can also gain surprises like Heimuli. But def interesting to have only a few spots left but still about 10 or so kids still interested in Oregon like:

Lyerla
Kelley
SImmons (PA)
McReynolds (DC)
Heyward (CA)
Moala
Scarlett
Jackson
Kao Ka'ai
Lewis
Dawson
Lee

4 star receiver commits to Oregon

Just checking out this forum, don't know if there is a place for this or if this is late news (guessing so for this forum) but:

Devon Blackmon, a Rivals.com four-star wide receiver from Fontana, Calif., selected Oregon over UCLA during the Under Armour high school all-star game live on ESPN yesterday.

Blackmon, the No. 46 recruit in nation according to Rivals, hauled in a long pass for the first touchdown of the all-star game.

Re: 4 star receiver commits to Oregon

Welcome to this part of S2 :) where we put recruiting stuff and commit news is in a sticky part of the thread "2011 Commitment and Recruiting News"

we are very stoked to have him and Sumler in this WR class... could be a lot of fun for a long long time :) Hope to have you around for discussion on all things Ducks :D

Re: 4 star receiver commits to Oregon
