So either though Ellis is committed to UCLA(bad move IMO), could he change his mind and go to Oregon?

his parents are supposed to have pushed very hard for him to stay close to home. Besides that, I heard that Oregon pulled their offer to him a while back. I don't know exactly why that was, but I'll speculate that they feel pretty secure/good with the DLine guys they have verbally committed and don't want to overload the cupboards. Teams like Florida who continually sign a bunch of 4-5* DLine primadonnas who all expect to play immediately provide examples of what we want to avoid.

Also, any news yet?

little news, lots of speculations. They are supposed to feel really good about the two receivers coming in this weekend (Allen & Addison). I've heard that their visiting this weekend was in the works for a long time and shouldn't be an indication of how they're doing with other WR options like Thomas Johnson. Btw, Allen & Addison are best friends and are thought to be a package deal for the Ducks... either both or neither

I finally saw the connection between "money bone", Tosh, and "Puppies".

And I laughed

Wow! "I call it like I see it" and you need to edit my opinions Wheels? WOW!

Please don't allow this board to turn into a place where posters are not allowed to have different opinions without being pack dog attacked by the regular crew, or soon this very SELDOM used and SEEN Duck board will be hearing crickets.

I expect better out of a mod! You're supposed to be neutral and not allow things to get nasty here, not editing posters words to fit "YOUR INTERPRETATIONS"

Hey GP, Wheels didn't edit your post. He quoted part of it and and just edited it as part of a response to you. Anyone can edit the part of the post they are quoting. Some do it to make a point others do it for comedic effect.

I agree with your point about expecting more from Wheels as mod but that's because of how bad of a mod I am. The better he is the worse I can be.

As always STOMP you SUH over the point and forget the logic of what I'm saying which seems to help you feel important in your judgemental world... Please refrain from making psychological assessments on posters I seriously doubt you have the credentials to do so. That said..... I never said UW was paying these players!

My thought is there's something very strange with the way Tosh is getting these players and he alone is who I'm sketchy about!

As for Ellis McCarthy after he visted Oregon he wrote that the Ducks would be very tough to beat and we were now the top of his list!

Don't let the facts get in the way again Stomp, might hurt your next psych eval! HAHAHAHA!

As I've said before Stomp you're not the only person who's played college ball here think about that before trying to come off as an expert on recruiting k? Illegal recruiting has been going on for decades it's not far of stretch to think how Cal went from a virtually unknown 2012 class to a top 10 in under 3 months with a 500 record and a bowl loss and yes Tedford has been on the hot seat for a year now. So tie that into rivals #1 recruiter Tosh and the fact he's now bolted and I raise an eyebrow while he still trying to poach Shaq and Arik after talking them into Cal.

I call it like I see it!

Hey Ghost,

Look man, I'm not on anyone's side here. This dispute you dudes have going is new to me and it doesn't matter to me who is right. In this case, I think that your arguments are just a little confusing. I'm sure you have what you are saying straight in your mind, but it just isn't coming out clearly in your post. I think this dispute is an issue of confusing writing, which Wheels and the others are taking as flawed logic.

Are you saying that these guys were payed off by Cal? By Tosh? Or are you just insinuating that something dirty is going down in Cal or with Tosh? If so, do you have any evidence beyond your personal suspicions? Your writing just doesn't make clear what you are contending here. I'm a straight shooter bud, and I have to tell you that what you are writing comes out as a string of insinuations instead of any kind of coherent argument.

Now I'm not saying you don't having something you want to argue. I'm saying that I don't think what you have ACTUALLY WRITTEN makes a ton of sense.

If you want to clarify your argument I'd be happy to read it.

For those of you who followed Parks and Rec when these two were working together, I'm the Ben Wyatt, and Sly is the Chris Traeger.

Mornin SPD.

Also, I may take interest in being a USC Football forum mod. Interested to say the least.

Also it kinda blows how we lost some guys to UCLA. What recruits could we use? I mean, it wouldn't hurt to get another 4* if possible in the next 4 days.

also I might add... Sly you are much better looking than Rob Lowe.

Hey Zalsa, I just sent you a Private Message.

oh Lord... Zalsa I hope you arent at work when you open the PM, or if you are at work, they are ok with Penis pictures

The Money Bone is Tosh Genius! Try if you can, to draw a line to the common denominator OK! Tosh #1 recruiter on rivals this year a company that was created and run by HUSKIE alum... now Tosh making 300k + with new job where? UW, are ya following me here Stomp? Do ya need a flair gun and a map? Now Tosh going after Arik and Shaq once again...

Hey genius? Ya really think Tosh is selling schools now? Some of your other dribble you were selling the thought that Cal was the bomb with campus, faciltites and so on... now your saying it's Tosh's relationship with the players and cleary that trumps the school and the head coach, and how they'll fit in, the proximity to thier families and everything else. Pick a side Stomp and try and stick to it.

your writing, logic, and facts are all a convoluted mess. Scout, not rivals, is the site started and run by UW grads. Tosh was rivals #1 recruiter last year not this one... they don't bestow that honor until after signing day. Them doing well again early this year with so many of the recruits siting Lupoi as a major reason why is part of a trend not a flash in the pan as you've been claiming. Lupoi had been selling his academically great alma mater to kids from the rich recruiting hotbed surrounding it. One of the big things he had to tout is the massive investment in their facilities which you were completely ignorant of. The side I'm sticking with is that academics matter. So does proximity to home, the surrounding city, weather, facilities and relationships with the players and coaches. I don't know why you can't process that having the main Cal guy a recruit has built up a relationship with leaving at the last minute is a big deal, but thats not my problem. I'll speculate that Cal's rise in recruiting will continue next year and beyond.

I'm saying that it's my "Opinion" that Tosh is sketch with the recruiting of these players, not Cal or UW but Tosh solely. He's the link. I think he may be getting booster money on the side or something but the minute that Cal pulled arguably the best recruiting class they ever had out of the blue with a barely 500 season and a bowl loss my ears perked up! That and Tedford being talked around the Pac 12 as a coach on the hot seat. Is that fair? Mind you, Ellis, Shaq and Arik were being pursued by the who's who of top ten teams and powerhouse programs all over the country.

So when they all verballed to Cal at once, I took hits here from posters saying that I was overlookng the fact that it was the facilities, campus, great academic university, and proximity to these guys families and so forth and so on....

Then Tosh gets recruiter of the year from Rivals a company started by UW alum and then he gets a huge pay bump and a new job to a school that just happens to be the alma mater from the Rivals boys. Now Tosh, a very average d line coach is being paid more than the O coordinator at that school he's going to, and I then again scratch my head.

At the same time he announces his new found career in Huskyville, all the top three recruits he "FOUND" for Cal decommit. Why? Great School still right? Great facilities coming right? Close to home right? Well? That's how many said it to me here.

Now Arik and Shaq have both been visited again by Tosh and his brand new school UW and both have put UW on their list! It just seems funny to me is all.

We'll see how it turns out!

a recent rivals quote from Chance Allen... "Mostly I committed to Oklahoma State because I didn’t know what was going on with Chip Kelly."

that Cat reminds me a lot of BJ Kelley for some reason (but a little bigger and a little slower?)... and I am very high oh BJ Kelley for this upcoming year.

after the Rose Bowl victory, Kelley jogged over to my end of the stadium where fans were going apeshit and then exploded into a backflip that he landed with ease... catlike in fact. Dude is an impressive big athlete.

Please let him come to UO. They don't have Blackmon or Weeden next season, they'll fall back into obscurity.

Ducks have a shot of a Natty/Rose Bowl. The choice is obvious.

yep very impressive. Before the Pac 12 Title game he warmed up for about 30 min by us, running routes and exploding in the air to jump for the ball. He is overlooked in last years WR haul as he didnt have the 4th * but I might be the most excited about him. Although I also pegged Hawkins as a DJ Davis clone, and that didnt turn out so well for me last year

Took me a few minutes as well. The ensuing flamefest from those who didn't get it is highly entertaining, though, so I'm glad that some posters took it literally.

lol back to our regularly scheduled programming now.

Honestly I'm glad he didnt end up going to SC or Cal. Less of a threat at ASU imo. Best of luck to him. Even though we were thought to lead for him at one time :MARIS61:

Very good news for the Ducks, IMO. Foster could have been a poor man's DAT next year at USC. ASU must have promised him the starting gig immediately. Kid is going to get banged up next year with no QB and no O-line.

Arik never committed to Cal.

Again, rivals wasn't started by UW alum (Scout was) and Tosh was the rivals recruiter of the year for last recruiting season not this one. Finally, two of the three guys (Shaq & Jordan Payton) who committed to Cal at the Army game are still committed to Cal.

I think it's a stretch to say that Shaq Thompson is still committed to Cal in terms of any real way. Even Cal fans have no idea where he is going to end up. If you read the SacBee article on him, he seems to be changing his mind on a daily basis.
