I love puppies. Ijust want to see mad UW/Cal fans.
We ganked AA from them

So how does AA compare to Ngata?
Way different player. I think AA is way slimmer and will probably play with more finesse unlike Ngata's 330 pound man thrust that just bulldozed everyone.
Update on Shaq:
@GregBiggins: For those asking if Shaq Thomson was at the Armstead presser, he's on an unofficial visit to #Washington right now
That's his second trip up there, so I think we are on the outside. I can't imagine why he would want to be the next Jake Locker (on the D instead of O), meaning the best player on a below average team. He must be very serious about UW...

so I had an awesome bike ride up into Marin... anything exciting happen while I was gone?

I think he likes big cities and he likes Tosh.
I'd imagine that he wants to feign interest one more time before crushing their program's dreams and committing to Oregon.
Better yet, let's play who can find the angriest post between Cal and UW fans
this was the best I could do. A post from comments section of The Seattle Times article breaking the bad news... "in other news oregon ( who armstead will also play hoops for ) just lost to oregon state in basketball to fall out of a first tie with UDUB!!! WOOF!!!"
my quick impression of reading uw & Cal forums is more one of acceptance that their sad new reality really is true after all. They get it.
I'm looking forward to the NCAA ruling on the Lyles stuff

He's crying on the insideHere's a good one... From a Cal player?

We don't need top ranked guys to make us a great team. Ranking don't mean anything. #weallwegotweallweneed

AA's decision is a curious one...what did or could chip sell him? It certainly wasn't Eugene (passed thru there once and for the life of me can't remember any of it).
It seems to me Oregon was a relative late comer to his recruitment, but I could be wrong. Regardless, I honestly thought ND or Cal had the best shot, but now Oregon comes in...with what??
Good facilities these days are a dime a dozen, but if you have a dump town and and even worse student body, I just don't see what chip can sell. A gimick offense that only appeals to the most desperate of NFL franchises? A defense that is just serviceable? Something just doesn't seem right with this somehow.
With all that said, I think last year with in-staters the huskies benefited because it was on an upward trajectory at the end of the season, capped with a bowl win. This year was the exact opposite. Unfortunate, but it is what it is. Holt and his legacy I think hurt this year...time to focus on the next crop.
Incredible. Hands in the passing lanes on short patterns, and speed on the outside to force throws.
Lmfao.. this dude can't be serious? (talking about what chip could sell to AA).. Actin like we paid AA to come to UO
For sure. Kelly has taken to heart what our biggest need was. I'm really geared up for the next few seasons.
That means I'm also really hoping we don't get probation.
Me n my boy Arik.WHO JUST COMMITTED TO THE DUCKS! #SomeOnesWinningTheDay

Hey guys check this out.
The guy in that picture is 2013 DT Eddie Vanderdoes. He's going to be one of the top interior lineman in the country. Definitely a 4 star if not a 5 star. I've heard we have the inside track for him.
I just checked out his Rivals page, why isn't he ranked for Rivals. I do hope he can go to ORegon though, we would be set defensively(only issue I think would be corners but I trust in Chip's ability to handle that).
And our offense will be steam rolling over anyone, as usual. I just hope Bennett or Mariota can bring it to the table next season

Even a one-year bowl ban isn't a big deal, though I'll be shocked if that happens. Armstead just may be the next Julius Peppers at DE. He'll be playing next fall, no doubt about it, and he'll get to learn DE from Dion Jordan. Oregon is on the cutting edge of yet another new facet of football; the tall D-line.
Jeremy Castro took a surprise unofficial visit to UCLA the other day, but says he is all Duck.
"Oh I'm committed to Oregon, I'm a Duck," Castro said. "I went yesterday because I have a younger brother that wanted to check it out. My older brother kind of wanted to meet the coaches too since Mora coached in the NFL. But it doesn't matter to me, I'm all Oregon."
Will Castro be taking any future visits?
"Nope, I have been telling coaches that call me not to waste their time," he said. "They have all started to back off which has been nice. I just can't wait to get up to Eugene and start helping out the team."
"I can't wait to watch the Ducks on Jan. 2 in the Rose Bowl," he said. "I'm not going but I'm not going to miss watching it. I love my team and I think they are going to win big. I think the Ducks win 38-20 over Wisconsin."
