I will tell you what I did not like about his jumper...his mechanics...He shoots it low, right out in front of him...I don't think he will be able to get away with that in the NBA...
 
6'9" w/shoes | 7'3" wingspan | 9'1" reach | 5% BF

I don't see T-Rob falling out of the top-3 now.

His reach/wingspan and explosiveness -- You can play him at the 5 next to Aldridge in that Ben Wallace mold.

A couple of weeks ago, Blazers director of college scouting Chad Buchanan said the Blazers "never" promise a player they will draft him.


2 weeks ago we didn't have Olshey though.....How does he feel?

I thought it doesn't matter since he just a puppet for Vulcan.
 
Chris Haynes' Jeremy Lamb video is making the rounds on many forums.

Lamb's answers/interview were probably the worst in the history of the NBA and Chris got it on film.

As good as highlights can be. This combine right now, is the most important thing he's ever done. It's a huge privilege to even be invited. The guy seems like he doesn't even want to be there and doesn't care. He even made it obvious that he doesn't pay attention to the league that he's trying to get into. Says a ton imo.

Sullinger's post game and IQ are great. He wants to be great, too. Towards the end of the year and in the tournament he was money from 3. My only complaint is his lack of hops and the one leg bigger than the other thing. If we picked him at 11, I wouldn't be disappointed.

Sullinger at 11 would have to be considered, along with others. If you could be reasonably sure about lack of health issues . . . but I'm not sure that is possible. I would still rather take a flyer on someone with more upside like PJIII or maybe Rivers (assuming Lillard isn't already ours or already picked).

Sullinger's post game reminds me of Zbo. He's going to get blocked a lot. But, maybe he will make up for it.

To move up to #2 for Robinson would likely mean packaging both lotto picks.
 
Haven't read through this entire thread, but the gist I get is after #1 it is a crapshoot 2-10.

So why trade up if there really is no consensus top picks after #1. Either the player the Blazers want may drop or the player the Blazers want has almost the same chance of making an impact on the NBA as the player selected with the 6th pick.

He rarely missed in the mid-range shooting drill, where he runs back and forth to point A and B, catching and shooting. His three-point stroke is accurate and effortless, and he looked completely comfortable from NBA range.

*Kendall Marshall didn't look comfortable shooting NBA threes, which seem to be a bit out of his range at the moment. He gets little elevation, and his shot looks to involve too much upper body. Still, this shouldn't hurt his stock, as his strengths can't be seen at an event like this. I still like Marshall as a lottery pick. You just can't teach instincts, vision and decision-making. You can teach shooting.

Sure, if they don't feel Robinson fits in with what they are doing, then they will move the pick to gain an extra asset. The second rounder was more hyperbole but a player like Babbit or 2 2nd rounders could probably do the trick. If Charlotte REALLY likes someone with the 2nd pick, they will be reluctant to move it, but with all the talk about them open to trading the 2nd pick it looks like they aren't too sure about the players around their neck of the woods. The key here is that there is no consensus #2 pick. Robinson could fall, maybe not to #6, but if he falls, the pick or rights to him become far more attainable. If we want him, we could easily have him.

His cost won't be the 6th AND the 11th. I don't even think a team between 2 and 5 would even think to think of that. Elliot Williams may actually be the price. Not sure I would give him up. We could easily add cash which is always a good thing for the teams between 2-5 because of their small markets and economic hardships.

Actually there are a few SG's I would not be upst mind seeing along side Lillard. Beal and Lillard would be doubtfull as neither will slip to #11. Ross, Rivers, Lamb, and Waiters are all options that could team up if we wanted to take Lillard at #6. I doubt we take him that high because I think Beal will be there at 6. The problem with that is many of the best players that will still be around at #11 will also be SG's. Do we reach for Lillard at 6? Or do we take a Beal at 6 and one of the Jones at 11. (or Marshall at 11)

No it doesn't, you can't possibly tell that from one interview.....Was he interviewing in front of a NBA team or some random dude (Haynes) that he probably has no idea who he is with a mic in his face? and on 2nd watch, what he said wasn't that bad...So what? He didn't know or couldn't remember any of the POR players name....The guy played at UCONN last year, maybe he doesn't pay attention to every team in the NBA....I really think this is becoming a tempest in a teapot....At least he didn't try and fake it, and you can see he was chuckling about it, the ridiculousness of it all (not knowing)..

I don't think it was a big deal, he answered the other questions fine.

All I know is the more I watch his GAME FILM...the more I agree with what Calhoun is saying, he is going to be a scorer in the NBA...I would not be surprised to see him put up some big numbers offensively in a few years....He has a solid jumper, great 3pt range, uses a floater very well, great athleticism, size, length, can run and just has a knack for scoring, good on court Bball IQ as well, moreso in terms of offense than defense....

I would say his negatives are that he is best used on offense looking to score for himself, playing within a team\creating for others....is just not there, will it ever be? I don't know, I am not convinced it will be. and yeah his demeaner is offbeat for sure...appears almost too laid back, disinterested. If you are not going to draft him you do it for those reasons, not b\c he couldn't remember a Blazer player when asked by Chris Haynes.

I see him as a potential #3 type of guy, pure scorer all the way...who will drive you nuts on nights when his shot isn't falling and he doesn't offset it by doubling down on his defensive intensity or look to create opportunities to set others up....

You know, it depends on how far down they go Fez....#14 & #16 would not be bad at all, or anywhere in the mid teens plus a potential young player in a deal? not bad....

I think they have a list of players who if they are there they take at #11, but if they are not the b\u plan may be to drop down a little, pick up some assets and get another player they like....

I think there are some good players to be had...guys like Marquis Teague, Moe Harkless, Terence Ross, Tony Wroten, Tyshawn Taylor, Royce White, Qunicy MIller, Andrew Nicholson, Kyle O'Quinn
 
I think after #10 there's another dropoff.... although Rivers should still be available after 10 so who knows.

I'd do 11 for 14 + 16.

Then 6 + 16 for 2. Then get TRob and whomever is left between Rivers, Lamb, or Marshall at 14.
