I'd do #6 for Turner in a heartbeat.

RR7 has a great description but did not mention his rebounding. He is obe of the best rebounding guards in the game.

Have you looked at what he has done in Philly?

He has yet to average at least 10 PPG and his PER is well below average.

No way do you offer the #6 for him.

I might be able to get behind a Drummond/Rivers draft.

From a BPA standpoint at 6 & 11 I would not mind that either. I wouldn't be jumping out of my chair in excitement, but for those who want to rebuild, I think those are two decent young pieces.

Personally I wanted a whole new explosive backcourt, so I was excited when I thought Beal was a possibility.
I also wouldn't mind Lillard and Drummond.

second to last line :)

I have. I live in Philly and have seen a few games in person. He's somewhat handcuffed by the offense which allows mostly Lou Will and Iggy do their thing, but often forgets about Jrue and Turner.

Later on in the season, most people here realized that Turner can potentially be a better option on offense than Iggy because he's more fluid and skilled. But it never really materialized because Doug Collins was hellbent on doing what he'd done for much of the season earlier.

oops sorry. I was skimming.

I think the only deterrent against a 11 or 6 for Turner deal is the higher cap # for ET vs a rookie draft pick.

so, is evan turner is going to have a 15+ PER this year?

year after?

That would be Awesome to get ET.

If the Blazers ever want to compete against the Superstar teams we need superstar defense and rebounding.

More from Amick:
In an attempt to get a sense for which player is generally perceived as the second-best in the draft, I reached out to a group of general managers, assistant GMs and other personnel men who have been hard at work studying the 2012 crop. The results, unfortunately, only complicated the situation even more.

Among the 16 responses, the results were mixed: Robinson and Beal tied for the lead with six votes apiece, while Kidd-Gilchrist came in third with four votes.

Turner for 11 would be a steal. He showed some nice moves in the playoffs against the Bulls and Celtics. If he were to get more touches, I think he could finally develop into a legit scoring threat.

I'm a huge Turner fan. Reminds me of Brandon.

Coming out of college he did, not so much now.

At the same age Roy was an All-Star who averaged 19/5/6 with a PER just under 20.

Evans is nowhere near his level.

22 PER for 8.5 million next year... 10 WS for 8.5 million = bargain

the only issue i see is that he is a free agent after next year

He was about to sign with us anyway. I don't think we'd have a problem retaining him.

I heard today on the radio that the Bobcats really like Barnes at 6. Haha, that would be awesome.

I refuse to believe ANY of those players are actually available for the #11 pick.

Honestly, Portland is in a great place to trade up if they want. It seems like several teams are interested in Barnes or Drummond, but don't want to take them high. 6 is a good pick for Barnes, so if you want him, why not trade with Portland and take him there, save some money. Move up!!!

Evan Turner would be a great player for us to get.

For some reason, I think a Robinson/Marshall draft could be great. Obviously you'd have to figure out a way to move from 6 to most likely 2, but for Robinson, I think it's worth it.

POR may not have to move to #2, they might have to pay SAC to flip flop to #5.....

That would be great for POR....

That would be incredible. I have a really tough time seeing Robinson fall that far (I think he could be the best player out of this draft, and at worst will be an average starter), but stranger things have happened! Love this time of year.

I would bet anything that the first four picks are already set in stone, and they are:
Davis
Robinson
MKG
Beal
In that order. Those are clearly the best players, and there's a big drop off after that.
