I would probably have faith that they see something I don't, but Rivers or Soup Guy at 6 is my worst nightmare (unless we are picking at 4).
Would really like Rivers at 6, if one of the big 4 are not there....

Blazers owner Paul Allen has made at least one trade in eight consecutive NBA Drafts.
LOL, crazy draft when Rivers gets mentioned for the #6, the smokescreen machines are starting to smoke themselves as they get severely overworked
A consensus has emerged the past few days amongst NBA teams regarding Neil Olshey's intentions with this pick. It once appeared that Lillard would be available with the Blazers' later lottery pick (No. 11). But the likes of Golden State, Toronto and New Orleans have fallen hard for the point guard. Lillard had one of those mythical one-on-zero workouts where he could not miss, causing Portland to decide that he is its pick here.
Maybe already poste here . . . this is comes from Yahoo mock draft that up until yesterday had us picking drummonds.
Damn I'm finding it hard to get excited about Lilliard at 6 ...
Elite athleticism, chip on his shoulder, willing and capable passer, good shooter, likes defense...does that help?

It's on the blazer workout video. He was asked point blank, tried to say nothing really, but was clear "if he decides to work" makes some comments about him not really warming up (just showing up and going), and then kind of smiles at the camera like "yeah, you can print that--I think I answered that politically correct." Not a glowing endorsement, but hard to tell because Lamb doesn't get excited about much.
Monty Williams apparently loves the kid....and he doesn't have a lot of high praise for rookies in general....
Coach K is glad he left.

I like Lillard but have to disagree with the "elite athleticism" part, yes he can jump hign but his agiity scores and sprint were pedestrian results for a PG, and IMO quickness is more important than jumping high for a pG especially. Again I like him but he does not posess "elite athleticism"
I'm not buying this. The guy went to "prove self" at the combine but played against second round guys and scheduled solo workouts only. If he had a chip on his shoulder he'd have to problem going up against Rivers, Beal, Lamb, Marshall, etc.
He didn't.
His agent had nothing to do with it...Kinda like Waiters agent didn't want him doing vert or agility testing...![]()

He's picked at least 1 PG in the last eight as well.
Nolan, Armon, Patty, Bayless, Koponen and Green, Sergio, Jack, Telfair.
