I'd rather have Wes + 6 than Beal alone.

Could be Elliot Williams.....

I think POR holds onto Freeland, they need bigs...

Claver, Smith & Babbitt likely have little to no value

Actually, that makes sense...they (WAS) pick up a SG and then at #6 have a very good shot and getting either Barnes or MKG

could be they feel Charlotte will trade down,a nd Beal goes 2. So they figure going to 6, if we took MKG at 3, Robinson 4, maybe they think Drummond goes 5, and they can still get Barnes at 6 and a player.

If Beal is as good as they say, then giving up Wes is worth it. I like the guy but in the long run he is a role player. If they think Beal is a long term starter then go for it.

I'd love to ship out Wes. He's overpaid, can't create his own offense and is a streaky 3-point shooter. I'd do the deal in a heartbeat.

In "asset acquisition mode" I think this is the path a franchise has to take. You have to get the guys you think will be the best assets. Matthews is a below average NBA player, so if you can deal him for a "chance" to get a really good player, you have to do that, IMO

Me too if we are drafting Beal or even Robinson but no way if we are trading up for Waiters.

Seeing that he offered CLE Claver I'm guessing he's trying to ship out one/both of the Euros.

Blazers should take a long look at Oregon State's Jared Cunningham if he's still on the board when they pick in 2nd round.

That would be a good pick IMO

Getting rid of Wes would make me a little less disappointed in getting Waiters there at that spot.

Still I bet the more like scenario is a cheap player with some upside like Elliot or Freeland.

Another thing this might do is shed some salary for Washington if we take Blatch back as well?

That's just not true

Could be a good pick. I do think at 40 and 41 there are going to be a few bigs that can play in the league. This draft is sort of weak but deep IMO and the guys at 40/41 are not that much worse then the guys mid 1st.

Sounds like teams in the late first round are targeting Cunningham. The Bulls love him IIRC.

yes! Go Beavs!

My theory is that this is a bluff to try to force the draft to fall in our favor. I don't think anyone truly believes that we'd take Waiters over Beal, so if Robinson at #2 is a given amongst the GM community, we could be floating this to get Cleveland to bite on jumping to 2, fearing that our jump to 3 would be for Beal (sidenote: if we actually DID jump to 3, I don't see how it wouldn't be for Beal) If all goes according to this plan, Cleveland jumps to 2 to secure Beal, we pull out of the trade, draft goes Davis, Beal, and then some arrangement of MKG, Barnes and Robinson our choice of Lillard or Waiters falls into our laps, just like we wanted it to...

If you think about it... Sacto and Washington should be all on-board with this scenario, so there would certainly be a lot of rumormill firepower.

Very much in agreement with this statement.

Wes shot 38% from three on a bad year. Beal shot 33% from college line. Wes is taller, stronger and a better defender. I'll keep Wes and use the pick for something else.

Wonder who @KyrieIrving prefers for the Cavs pick? Harrison Barnes is one of his best friends. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is a HS teammate.

We will agree to disagree on this one. Looking at PER and offensive and defensive ratings, as well as win shares.....he's not that good, IMO

PER - .....

Offensive and defensive rating? Those aren't individual statistics

I like this scheming plan!
