Current news is that if Chip Kelly is gone there is a very strong chance we lose Dontre wilson, and the Twins. There could possibly be other ones, but those are the ones who have voiced this so far.

That would be 3 of our top 4 recruits.

gossip/speculation... not news. I know that Dontre has stated recently that coach Campbell is the main draw football wise for him, and that Kelly leaving wouldn't flip him. But really, who knows? The Robinson twins are both initially projected on the Defensive side. In response to reporter's questions about Oregon's D, Kelly usually relays that he doesn't coach the defense.

We'll see in early Feb eh? For me I'm always hoping for the best but really whatever happens happens and we're just fans following events. The gossip does run wild this time of year, expect more of it

In an interview from earlier today, Dontre said he may look elsewhere if chip goes and is extremely interested in OSU with meyer.
The recently stated was from earlier in the week and last week, but he seems to have changed his tune.

Twins are less likely to leave than dontre, but would consider it per scout.

no, again because he never did flip previously.
But as for fliping away from Oregon it certainly is possible. Simply based off both his previous reaction to chip almost taking the tampa job and him almost decommiting recently. I would say it is possible.

Staying at Oregon would give him the best chance at starting the soonest. A slightly unipressing Marshall pretty much being the only roadblock to start.
 
Hinnant to Cal, bah he was one of the OL we had the best shot at.

Oser will probably go to Sanford
If Falah flips will probably go to Washington
Hunt is a possiblity but stronger chane he stays at Cal.
Porter maybe we can flip
Keeler probably not.

Pretty much all the decent options we will need to flip now.

true. I'd guess if Oregon was more in a position of need (rather then stocked) that more PSAs would be lined up... oh well

next year's class on both sides of the line will be much more important for Oregon to fill with quality guys as well as being attractive to prospects.

God you're a SlyPokerDog but atleast you're consistent! However if we got those two guys in that picture with Tyner I'd say we had a great day! BTW- being objective doesn't mean you don't support your school, to challenge is to grow SPD! Simply excepting without question constitutes apathy, or didn't they teach you that freshmen year in Eugene?

a bunch of future ducks and prospects are playing today. The UA game is on ESPN at 2pm (Dontre, McQuay, Voeller). The Semper Fi game on NFL Network at 6 (The Robinsons, Carrington, and Mundt...plus many prospects)

They taught me lots of things at UO, but I arrived already knowing the difference between accepting/excepting and what the word objective means.

What I do know for sure Stomp, is that guys like you who constantly belittle everyone else around them and usually for no apparent reason, typically do this to make themselves feel better about being miserable human beings!

Course with a call sign like Stomp we all know you're really begging for ANYONE to listen to you!

Problem is without regurgitating someone else's thoughts or slamming others for having their own, you don't have anything of worth to say! For a self proclaimed recruiting expert you haven't known of one duck coming or going in the last two years!

So outside of showing up to try and rip on another poster, what the hell do you do on this board?! I've yet to read anything you've ever posted that resulted in discussion "EXCEPT" when you're tying to one up someone else and pat yourself on the back again in doing so!

Honestly I'd like to see you write anything of worth about duck football so I wont continue to think of you as the daily parasite looking for another meal here at somebody's else's expense!

Lm3 to USC as expected. Juawaan williams, only real safety target currently. Good chance we lose the robinsons making us short on db/lb targets.
 
I'm gonna go and buy a cat at Petco and just watch the meltdowns and laughing and petting the cat like a James Bond villain :)

Duarte to UCLA as expected, still not sure why 247 thought we had a shot when his only visit was over a year ago. next up is ross whonwe have a fair shotvat but wouldnt be shocked if hevpicked washington

Wrong as usual. I've relayed the origin of my handle a few times prior. It has to do with a stomp pad snowboarding product I was going through the patent process with in late 90's... that was happening when I started chatting with this same community of Blazer fans

Recruiting has just been odder than the usual oddness this year. Truth is of the targets commiting only 3 did we have a shot with (folston,ross,mcquay.) and only mcquay was a big need high value target. As long as we keep dontre and tyner i dont care that much who the 3rd back we take is. With wr we have different standards and it is tough to start at oregon.

As more and more players commit, targets are just looking thinner.

Would have been a TD if the lead blocker had been able to knock away the punter. Tough to get on a kid for not knowing when to block on special teams in an All-Star game, though.
 
ESPN 150 athlete and Ducks commit Dontre Wilson (DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto) is ready to close the book on his recruitment and is fully committed to Oregon, whether or not Chip Kelly remains the coach of the program.

Reports had surfaced throughout Friday's Under Armour All-America Game in St. Petersburg, Fla., that Kelly is close to accepting the top coaching position with the Cleveland Browns.

“Coach Kelly is a tremendous coach and he’s had a great run at Oregon to help put that program on the map,” Wilson said. “But the players are in place and the program is rolling now. Coach [Mark] Helfrich and coach [Gary] Campbell are still there and that’s the big thing for me.”

Devon Allen sure looked good at WR yesterday in the Semper Fi game. Blazing fast, good size, and he caught at least 5 balls. Really curious that he doesn't have an offer, but then again they don't really have much need at WR.

247 is saying that despite Dontres recent comments to espn about being 100% duck, that he is opening it up (supposedly due to osu negative recruiting tactics about oregons sanctions)
and will visit Ohio state on January 11 or 18th.
