WTF is Sac doing? Instead of a matching a very reasonable 4/44 offer for Evans, they are giving Iggy 4/56? Out of their minds if this happens.

Especially since I don't see that team actually competing. Iggy would be a nice pickup for a fringe playoff team, or one of the lower seeded playoff teams. Not a team like the Kings who have almost no shot at the playoffs this year.

Both those contracts are bad.

Dwight Howard, obviously!

Robin Lopez isn't looking that bad right now tbh, especially over guys like Zaza and Kaman. I don't know if we'll be able to wait for Asik with DH being so indecisive.

Too bad Tony Allen is gone.

I thought maybe Olshey was waiting in the grass, hunting. I'm starting to think he fell asleep and will settle with whatever is left (Kaman, Zaza, etc). I can tell, these moves are exactly what LA had in mind.

fine with me, let these teams with cap load up big contracts on overall a weak talent pool IMO, this is where it's smart to be patient for the longer term,

Exactly right. Let other teams spend their money and overpay. When the money dries up, there will still be players on the market willing to settle for the vet min. We're not winning anything this year, so why handcuff ourselves with bad contracts?

Who would be a difference maker we could realistically get that would keep LA here? I can't think of a name. Therefore, I think he's gone. And if he's gone, why would we burden ourselves with a big contract that wouldn't be part of our future?

It seems asik is #1 target; while dalembert is plan B

Asik can keep LA here. Dalembert likely won't make him happy.

Pek or Asik are the only big names left that can really get us to the next level at the center position. If we strike out on both, LA is gone by the trade deadline.
