That's not real btw. Someone from reddit made that. Hilarious though.

And the Jazz have NOTHING to show for losing their 2 best players. Tank mode is in effect in SLC!

A swap that actually makes sense for them, fit wise.

The only problem I see for this is that it would leave New Orleans very short on shooters. Davis isn't a shooter, Asik obviously isn't, and I don't think Holiday or Evans are particularly good. Gordon would be it, and he's always injured.

Houston needs a lot more than Anderson at PF alongside Harden/Howard as the "Big Three".

Does Lin stay in Houston now? The Rockets flip rosters more than anyone else in the league the last 5 years, and what do they have to show for it?

Remember, though, that they are "rebuilding". Where are the posters who were saying how the Jazz got it right by sending away Deron Williams for prospects/garbage?

But but but they got a great pg in Harris. Hey wait where is he now?!

What do they have to show for it? They have James Harden and Dwight Howard. That's a great thing to show for their roster moves. Arguably the top SG in the legue, now, and top C as well.

I personally think the concept of a "Big 3" is over rated, depending on the quality of role players you put around guys. But Anderson's last year with Dwight, he put up 16 and 8, shot 39% from 3. Stretching the floor for interior play, a lot like Bosh was doing in Miami, to give Lebron and Wade space to operate down low. Bosh's defense is obviously better, but then, Houston will have Dwight's defense.
I don't care much for Lin. Unsure whether he sticks around. And who would go after him.
But, you're taking a 45 win team, and swapping(if this swap went through) Dwight Howard for Omer Asik, and Ryan Anderson for Thomas Robinson. That's a pretty good upgrade. And they still have Montiejunas and Jones as two young prospects to look to include in other potential deals.

I just don't see them as a title contender, at all.

S/T JJ to GSW for 2nd rd pick(s) & a TPE, then use that TPE to bring in Robinson & Lopez, thereby preserving full MLE for backup SF & PG.

We don't have the full MLE because we are starting off under the cap. Only have room exception.

nice out of the box thinking. Though they'd jhave to sign him for more than he's worth to fit them both into the TPE.
