I would think we could just deal Lenoard, picks, Hickson S&T for Asik +Trob.
Then Houston signs Dwight.
Maybe Houston wouldn't want Lenoard to get enough cap space so we only send Hickson & two 1st round picks for Asik & Trob. That would use up all our cap space but I'd be ecstatic.
Neil Olshey's biggest move in the Thomas Robinson deal being overlooked, #Blazers monitoring Rockets C Omer Asik csnnw.com/blog/blazers-t…
Hilarious.
"overlooked"
Multiple posters on this board have talked about the Blazers targeting Asik in the event that the Rockets get Dwight Howard.
Nobody here overlooked this idea.
Apparently the Lakers are bringing is TWC to offer Dwight his own TV show in their pitch.
Not sure how that is legal...
I would really like to find a way to get Allen as a free agent. I think we need around 6 mil. I think adding allen to this group would instantly make us a top 4 in the west.

If we don't have the 6 million (or whatever needed to entice him) for Tony Allen, what about Martell Webster at a (likely) lower amount?
I'm down. Tony allen would definitely be a huge upgrade and definitely increase our defensive ability; but Martell has really become a good defender as well; plus he can knock down the tre. I would still consider it a A++++++ off-season.

Deal Matthews/Freeland to WAS for S&T Webster, then sign Allen?
Tony Allen would be great but I highly doubt we have the space or assets to add him if we get a center like Asik. Webster would be a nice backup but again I think he will get more than the $2.5mil room exception.
If we don’t get a center first I’m not sure if we should look at adding these guys as backups with such a gaping hole in our starting unit. Perhaps if these are the best talents on the market in our price range it is worth adding them instead of focusing on our positional need? Until we are close to contending should we just be in a talent acquisition phase? We can play some small ball or run with center by platoon which all but a few teams have to do anyways.

I'm told the Evans offer sheet is worth between $44-$50 million based on incentives. Numbers not solid, but range makes sense.
The 4yr, $44 million offer from the Pelicans to Tyreke Evans will not surprise the Kings front office. #NBAKings

The New Orleans Pelicans' offer sheet to Tyreke Evans is four years and $48 million, according to @Sam Amick. Wow.
That's a big number for the new CBA.
Okay so far we have CJ, Crabbe, Withey, Robinson without dealing any of our core.
Possible: Asik for Hickson (sign and trade)
If the possible could happen:
That would eat up all but around 1 mil of cap space and a 2.5 min mle. I would really like us to maybe trade out Leonard or Matthews to free up another 6 mil, so we could offer Tony Allen around 6-7 mil.
Now here are a few things to consider.
1.) We are meeting with Allen. Could we tell Allen to wait until we finalize the deal with Houston?
Both of these below were brought up by other posters.
2.) Hickson hasn't been let go; so we have the option to sign and trade him. Hickson would be all for going to Houston because they will most likely be a winning organization and he would most definitely start
3.) Asik and Hickson have the same agent; so under the table talk can be made via the agent.

A sign-and-trade with Hickson is not realistic to get Asik. Morey is not stupid.

4 years, 40 million offer to Tyreke Evans.
I guess Kaman is all we can afford
yikes, from who?
That's a big number for the new CBA.
