Al Jefferson going to Charlotte. Didn't they just draft Cody Zeller? That franchise needs to be moved to Seattle and freed from it's ownership.

I wonder if they can get Tyrus Thomas on the cheap? They need a 3 though

Earl Clark bolts LA for Cleveland.

Twitter is buzzing that the Warriors are trying to trade Bogus, Jefferson and others for cap space to sign Howard outright. They would need to clear it about 30 million. Gonna be tough to pull off but makes you wonder if Dwight said something to them.

Just added to ESPN's latest Dwight story: Sources say Warriors and Jazz have opened talks on trade that would send Andrew Bogut to Jazz

UTH has about 30M in cap room, if they want it by renouncing Millsap. Jefferson already looks to have signed with CHA.

Man... there's going to at least be one team that traded players for nothing and were left standing at the alter.

The Jazz have always coveted Bogut being that he was a Ute. I see that deal happening. If the Howard deals falls through the Warriors would be smart to still try to trade Bogut to the Jazz for Kanter.

I'd want Bogut, Thompson AND Barnes.

They can go fuck themselves.

They dont even have caproom for Dwight, I do not believe.

Exactly right. You need to demand a ridiculous price. A team will overachieve, think they just need one more piece to become a championship contender and meet your price.

POR is not geting Thompson AND Barnes for LA....wishful thinking....love to be wrong, I like both players, but I do not see that happening...Getting some salary filler (Bogut\Lee), 1 of Barnes\Thompson and perhaps a 2014 (or later) 1st round pick would be likely...

Right now I agree. However, I also think you reject that deal and tell them they need to improve it. GS will realize either a) Dwight wants another elite player in order to come to GS, or b) the Warriors need another high level player to compete with the WC big boys. The Warriors have the issue that their time is now. Ours isn't for a few years.

What we get for Aldridge will define this team for the next 5-10 years. We should demand an extremely high price, or we should just let him walk in two years and take his cap space.

I saw this stat on the comments of Dave's article about Lopez and thought it was interesting:

Of the last 300 All-NBA team selections, only 30 (10 percent) involved players that arrived to their teams as free agents. The number pales in comparison to the amount of All-NBA teamers acquired via trade (74 players, 24.6%) or draft (196, 65.3%).

If they get Dwight, which is a huge "if" right now, I think they would do a Lee/Thompson/Barnes for Aldridge/Freeland trade. The funny thing is, I think we're still a playoff team.

Lillard/McCollum
Thompson/Matthews
Batum/Barnes
Lee/Robinson
Lopez/Leonard

That team is extremely balanced, young, talented, and deep. We would be back to 2-deep at every position. How scary would that be? I actually really like that deal. I'm wondering if GS was working on a deal with us this whole time to try to strengthen their position with Dwight...

"If we can get Portland to agree to trade Aldridge for Lee/Thompson/Barnes, and we can clear enough space, would you sign with us?"

If they would, and Im not sure they would, I think that is about as good as you can get for LMA. That is 3 potential starters and 2-3 potential All-Stars. And I agree that there is no reason we wouldnt make the playoffs and even make some noise. You think people had trouble with the Warriors shooters last year??? This team would be flat out deadly and even when on player is cold there would be 2 to step in and heat things up. However there would be a few things with that trade:

1) Im guessing we would have to trade Batum because I dont think he would like that little of playing time.
2) Im not sure how we could afford to keep that team together more than a few years
3) It would probably stunt Lillard's growth a little.

I think Batum needs to be moved regardless. He's like the Great White Buffalo on our team. We keep expecting him to mature into a really good player, and occasionally he gives us a glimpse of all that immense talent, but he can never put together any kind of consistent string of good games. He's been here for five years and we're no closer to him being the player we thought he would be... actually he's a worse defender now than he was as a rookie.

For those interested, there is a name there you might recognize

Absolutely better. Still have Damian Lillard, right? RT @MIXUM: blazers better now or worse after latest moves?

How could anyone possibly think we're worse? Oh, that's right, what will we ever do without Nolan Smith and Luke Babbitt?

Nate, did you see the name of the tweeter?

RT @Mixum: blazers better now or worse after latest moves?

Wasnt that a poster on here? Or am I mixing up names?

"Are the Blazers better or worse after significantly upgrading the overall talent on their team?"

Good question Mix. Good question.

Just some (relatively) twitter nobody trying to get followers. Not happening. Dwight isn't that big of an idiot.
