I wonder how true it was that Charlotte were offering their pick in draft if someone wanted to take Hawes and Lamb's contracts. As things stand they'd both be bargains at circa $5M - $6M a year and we really should have agreed to that. With their pick we'd have got Deyonta Davis or Caris LeVert. Hawes and Lamb are not perfect but for this money you're not getting anyone very good.

Good. Long overdue.

That is one of the two positives I'm taking from this. The Spurs are fucked. They have no shot. Not even remotely enough talent on that roster. Kawhi/Aldridge isn't even one of the top three combos in the league at this point.

What is that clown Neil Olshey doing?! Going after another over the hill player... Nene is 34 and was never even that good. So disappointing to be a Blazer fan right now.

What part of that tweet got you to "going after"

Who knows how to tweet Neil directly? Someone needs to tell him to go meet with Larry Sanders. Nene? Ezeli? Gasol?

Come the fuck on man

I always hate cryptic tweets and facebook messages

This is classic S2. Now everyone is bitching about giving Gasol too much, when you were just complaining about no one wanting to come here.

Guess what. WE WILL NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO SIGN FA'S NEXT YEAR. Gasol makes us better the next two seasons and allows Vonleh to continue to develop without being thrown to the fire.

Money doesn't fucking matter to us when you have Paul Allen and CJ/Dame salaries taking a jump.

Why don't we all take a collective breath and hope Pau comes here and makes us an even more exciting team to watch? It ain't your money and we're going to be up against the LT anyways.

Olshey is not dumb...he's proven that to us many times. Worst case we will renounce Meyers and find a way to clear up any remaining space needed to add Pau without hurting us talent wise.
I don't think anyone was worried about the money; it's the fact we would have had to renounce RFA's to access the money. Luckily it didn't happen; hopefully the whole thing was just to make SA overpay.
