Wesley does not have that handle, though

This. I think the Wes comparison is actually pretty good, but Hield has more upside because he's a lot more fluid dribbling and a bit more athletic. He's not going to make a living at the next level driving through traffic to the hoop, but the way he shoots it and forces teams to overplay his shot, he will be able to get himself to the hoop for buckets a couple of times a game.

You said Wes was a good comparison but then brought up the reasons why he's actually not. Hield is quicker, has more bounce, a way better ball handler and a craftier finisher around the rim while not being the defender or post player Wes was. The player Hield reminds me most of is a smaller Paul George (offensively at least).

Enjoying watching Skal and Kentucky on ESPN right now. He's starting to get his confidence back. His jump shot looks very smooth, very fluid.

Guys, how do we know if we retain our Pick that NO isnt gonna use it in a trade? say, Pick + Hendo/ Kaman for.....?
We just draft him and trade him. Draft the player the other team wants. Thats legal right?

I really think that is the case because of how many young lotto picks we already have. Do we need another project? Or should we use the pick as leerage for that second star? Could we use e pick, as a sign and trade and then do the same thing with Leonard, so we could trade the pick/Leonard and Hendo for a star? Maybe toss in Harkless if needed? Something like that? NOt sure of the star...

You lost me at "toss in Harkless" I'd personally rather "toss in" Aminu.

Yeah we can trade the player after we pick him. But I am not so sure of your examples. Can we trade Kaman/Hendo at that point since they are both free agents?

And this is why it's important that we retain our pick this year - it gives us options.

nbadraft.net and draftexpress are still in huge disagreement - and they probably will be for a while.

This dude looks like the next Draymond Green, DeMarre Carroll, Jimmy Butler type. Projected at the end of the 1st, and 3 and D, Jack of all trade guys are usually drafted to low (much like those 3)

I know he's not going to get drafted, but every time I watch Kentucky, I enjoy what I see out of Alex Poythress. I would love to see us being him in this summer as a UFA to compete for a spot as our third SF.

Ben Simmons was benched due to an academic issue apparently.

Further highlights how stupid the minimum 1 yr college rule is. You think these guys give a shit about going to class and doing homework? It's all a farce anyway when they're about to come into millions in 6 months. The rule was instilled to prevent stupidity from GMs like John Nash (drafted HSers in 03, 04, 05, 06 in the first round).

Similar to the Stepien rule where you can trade your draft pick 2 straight years maybe they can remove the 1 and done rule and make it so teams can't draft high school players 2 straight years. Just one option of many but I don't think there are too many stupid GMs left that would do what he did again anyways.

I have said it again and again but I will repeat it that Harkless should play more (not less). Same goes with Vonleh and Alexander but at least Vonleh might be forcing the issue.

Agree. I would like to see Harkless showcase more of his talent this season.

As for Vonleh, he's a quality defender coming along nicely in Stotts' system. Dare I say it, PF of the future!
