"Best" regular season team in NBA history had the biggest meltdown in NBA finals history.

I'm happy for LeBron and the city of Cleveland. Now let's end our dry spell!

Or they're all rich nerds who just wanted to show on snapchat that they were at the sportsball championship

I noticed how many people in the Cleveland crowd watching on the jumbotron had their phones out as the Cavs won the game. Makes me sad for our society when people forget to enjoy the thrill of the moment because they're so possessed by sharing their videos of what they "saw". I guess it's just a microcosm of what so many people do on a regular basis.

So, So sweet to see the kings of Smugness come up short at the finish line . . .

I actually have a slight amount of respect for the guy now

My girlfriend (who doesn't know anything about the NBA) just made some curry for lunch. Nice analogy !
Kinda feeling like lebron right now

Most championships have been without a LeBron. Who is Cleveland's CJ?
The post I was answering said if Cleveland can do it, why not us.

The reason is we don't have the best player....BY FAR, on the planet on our team. We have another Kyrie Irving on our team, which is awesome. But Lebron is the sole reason Cleveland won. The sole reason they were in the finals last year too

A play that sticks out to me is Curry throwing a lefty behind the back pass on the sideline with the game in balance in the fourth quarter that went straight out of bounds.

Pretty emblematic of GS all season-- these guys are unbelievably reckless. There is no humility in their game.

For all the free-flowing offense and 'Splash Brothers' brilliance, the last shot outside of 1' that the entire team made was a Klay Thompson jumper at the 6:18 mark. In the Playoffs when you can hold, body, impede and hand-check much more without fouls being called, (especially in the last few minutes of the 4th quarter of Game 7) all of that finesse and outside shooting ground to a halt.

One big example was when Curry was isolated with Kevin Love and despite every cross-over, step-back, jitterbug move he tried, he couldn't create space......ON KEVIN LOVE! He ended up chucking up a couple of horrible shots in the last few minutes that either barely drew iron or in one case, just clanked off the backboard. The only baskets in the last 6 minutes were an offensive put back lay-in and a Klay Thompson drive for a lay-in....that's it.

They desperately needed someone who could create down low, cause a double-team....anything. That makes me a bit nervous for Stott's offense as it is designed in similar fashion. Free flowing ball movement and tons of 3's but when things tighten up and there are enough defensive players that can switch and cover, the shots ended up with r not quality looks at all.

The amount of clutching and holding in the last quarter were something the Blazers need to watch over and over to understand what real success will take as they continue to grow.

Well, Lebron, Kyrie, and company humbled them in their own building. I think it's the perfect end to the Warriors record setting wins season. :biglaugh:

For how great Steph is offensively, I think he's lacking as a one on one creator when the defense is designed to stop him. He was hellbent on taking a three pointer instead of driving around Love and stopping for a midrange jumper. The midrange game is completely gone from his arsenal, much like what Dame is becoming. Klay's off the bounce game is nothing to write home about either with how he still can't dribble without looking at the ball.

This is why having CJ on our roster is so crucial moving forward. He is a better scorer/shooter off the dribble than maybe 5 guys in the league, especially when you consider his proficiency in the midrange. The guy just knows how to create space, get on balance, and pull up on a dime for a smooth 15 foot jumper. You saw that come to light in Game 5 of our series vs GSW when he kept abusing guys in one on one play in the fourth quarter.

We need to hone that skill and use it as a building block.

The series really turned when the refs, on both sides, so it's not like they were favoring anyone, let them play like it was the 90's on defense. Steph and Klay were getting grabbed, knocked and pushed all game.......So were the Cavs, but GS had no idea how to play when teams are allowed to do that.
