Looks like he's playing against a JV team but a good look at his athleticism
I agree, definitely a passer who look like they could fit seamlessly into the offense. Wouldn't have to worry about using him to space the floor since you could rely on him to make that extra pass to the open man. He's the one. He's tailor made for Stotts and Olshey. I like him more than Markkanen.
Watching the Wake Forest - Kansas State "first four" game right now, and Collins has not impressed me so far. He's basically been invisible out there, and easily outplayed by Kansas State's DJ Johnson (a poor man's Kenneth Faried). I don't know what kind of posts he's been playing against to gain his rep, but he's not showing me anything yet tonight.SI:
"Collins is another player who's exploded onto draft boards over the past few months. He's a 6'10" sophomore who has put Wake on his back all year. In the past two weeks he's had 25 and 11 vs. Louisville, 22 and 13 vs. Pitt, 31 and 15 at Duke, and 29 and 10 at Clemson. He's super efficient, and maybe the most skilled big man scorer in the draft"
I've liked your picks over the years. Too bad to hear this year's crop is so poor. I was hoping that Kaba could be that guy, but apparently you're not too high on him.The last three drafts I focused on Euro bigs for my value picks - low firsts or second round buys. Players I thought were projected way too low and could be had later in the draft:
2014: Nikola Jokic
2015: Willy Hernangomez
2016: Ivica Zubac/Geo Papagiannis/Ante Zizic
Outside Papagiannis they are all playing extremely well in the NBA and in Europe. This year there aren't any Euros like there were in the past three drafts. Definitely a very weak crop. Maybe one of the worst ever.
A more realistic option would be Khris Middleton.
His under contract for the next 3 years, at around $14M a year. Has been known as a good defender, is a 40% 3pt shooter, and is only 25. Gets 5 ast per 36 as well.
So why would Milwaukee trade him? Well, Malcolm Brogdon has had a stellar rookie year, and is a lot cheaper than Middleton. The Bucks might want to create room to start Brogdon at SG.
Creating capspace and getting picks would be a good idea for Milwaukee. They need a PG, and are near the cap line. Henson is also expendable with Maker showing promise, so we could take him on as an ideal backup C as well.
So heres an idea:
BKN Gets: Crabbe, Leonard
MIL Gets: Vonleh, Lin or late BKN pick, MEM 1st, CLE 1st,
POR Gets: Middleton, Henson
Milwaukee gets their starting PG in Lin, or they clear nearly $25M in salary.
BKN Gets 2 young players at good value.
We get our starting SF, and backup C, while keeping our top pick.

A possible 2nd round value pick: Dwayne Bacon
My idea was Leonard, Vonleh, our pick (12th?) And the CLE or MEM pick to BKN. BKN sends Lopez and Lin to MIL. They send Middleton here. This is an interesting thought. We would have to give up more than Vonleh and late firsts though. Maybe Moe and our first would work.
Tobias Harris is intriguing as well. He's currently coming off the bench in DET so they obviously don't value him too high. He has been playing the 4 the last couple years and shoots 35% from 3 consistently. His defense has really improved this year as well.
Either way, this offseason should be interesting.

Not going happen no way I give up that many potential players for 1 player. Yes we do get rid of ML but we don't who could in our during draft night. My idea was Leonard, Vonleh, our pick (12th?) And the CLE or MEM pick to BKN. BKN sends Lopez and Lin to MIL. They send Middleton here.
Would give BKN 4 firsts and a couple extra young players.
Would give MIL a lineup of
Lin / Brogdon / Giannis / Parker / Lopez
Would give us
Lillard / CJ / Middleton / ??? / Nurkic
Turner / AC / Harkless / Aminu / Ezeli??
We could then work out another trade for a PF, or use our MLE to sign Terrence Jones. Could bring back Ezeli on a minimum contract as well.
Honestly, Grayson Allen kind of intrigues me with our Cleveland pick. Brings grit, intensity, athleticism and size to the backup SG spot. Kind of Danny Ainge-like with more athleticism. A guy you hate, but love to have on your team.
