I kind of feel like turnovers should cost more. I'm really conflicted about that game. Mahommes had amazing stats kind of... He had something like 44 fantasy points, but his turn overs are also what cost them the game. I'm pretty conflicted about it. Obviously he put up a lot of yards, and a lot of TD's as well, but he contributed a lot to the loss too (not that it was all on him).
Fantasy football has nothing to do with teams winning or losing (except Defense scores I think). It's all about the individual, who cares about team success in this game..haha. I have heard people propose a QB should get -6 if they throw a pick 6. It's tough to punish a QB more than what it is currently, many interceptions are not the QBs fault.

Sure but a RB often having a bad game is the offensive lines fault, or a wr can be screwed by a bad qb right?

I realize that its all about individual performance not w’s and l’s. I bet you Mahommes would rather have had a game like Brees, or even Goff though, because they made a lot less mistakes.

A qb also gets credit for flipping the ball a yard in front of him and a wr or rb taking it 60 yards. Even in FF you cant get past the fact it really is a team game.

It just seems wrong to me that a guy with 5 turn overs can have so many points, I realize he had a bunch of td’s too. Not really sure how to explain it.

I get it. Tough to put in a perfect scoring system.

What if Mahomes put up the same numbers but KC won? Would you feel the same?

Yeah, because 5 turn overs is a lot. Theyve basically banned defense out side of big plays so i expect teams to hit high scores. I mean maybe I feel a bit different about it(?), but thats a lot of turn overs a few of them the defense turned into points...

I said during the game with the way they call things any of those teams NO, LAR, and KC you cant stop them unless they stop themselves so the fact KC had so many TO’s means they basically were stopping themselves.

To be fair 2 of them were desperate throws near the end under pressure.

I know, like I said Im not proposing a change of the rules or anything. Just is so weird to me how many points he had despite the TO’s and I get that he had a lot of Td’s and yards too.

Hard for me to wrap my head around it.

I mean how often do we have a historic game like that though? Heck the Rams D gave up 51 points and was the highest scoring D this week I think. It was just an anomaly.

Really is Im not even sure how Id change it, or if it should be changed. I just think its weird.

Sorry if it sounds like Im detracting from an amazing week you had, thats not my intent.
No worries man, this is fantasy football. Come at me and detract as much as you want, my feelings won't be hurt. I love the conversation :) And that is the difference in what you are talking about I think. In real life, the turnovers did cost Mahomes and they lost the game. That just doesn't carry over into fantasy, it's purely stats related.

Fair enough, in terms of competitiveness that was a great game. You’re right they lost so in reality it cost him.

Just a weird stat line and kind of an abboration.

Yeah, a very unique stat line, never been done. Similar to Kemba scoring 60 the other day and still losing, but it's more common to score 60 than do what Mahomes did...i think.

League settings say the trade deadline is tomorrow morning. Bones shouldn't be allowed to over rule that. I'm sure ESPN's Fantasy gate keepers will agree.

...I guess the ESPN admins need to step in after all :dunno:

Contacting them now.
I dont think I like this... If you guys had a problem with the whole Friday deadline rule, did you bring it up before Friday?
I was working under that being the rule that bones announced in here, I think most people were. I get that the Site/App had the rule as a different time but it was announced a while ago.

I didn't see the post about his own rule/deadline until Monday. You cant possibly expect us to keep up with all the posts in this thread and get the rules that way. The rules should be on the ESPN league page, and it was, deadline is posted as today!
If Bones wanted the deadline on Friday, why didnt he change it to then on ESPN?
