I'd still rather just use Facebook. It's more personal and I don't feel like I'm spraying something random graffiti on an Internet wall.
I have never had a facebook account, and with every piece of news that that comes out about facebook, I am more glad.

I'm sure if I were a high ranking government employee I would be worried. But I am not. I am just some schlub. The only thing my data tracking is going to tell them is that I like Marker's Mark, follow various sports teams and am obsessed with collecting Frank Zappa and Todd Rundgren albums.

I saw these guys at the PanHandle summer 68.

I use Facebook to stay in touch with family all over the world. I love it.

And yet somehow, inexplicably, you are not a high ranking government employee. No wonder our political landscape is so fucked. We need more whiskey drinking Todd is God fans running this country.

Anyone else finding the NBA games boring this year? It started somewhat exciting - but it basically looks like a 3P shooting competition - I am finding the games repetitive and somewhat boring this year.

A BAD 3-point shooting competition. League wide, 3FG% is down from .362 to .350 while attempts, per team, are up from 29.0 to 31.3. The result is, that for the first time in league history, we are being treated to more than 40 missed 3-pointers per game.

Im totally with you, the 3 point or dunk and thats all that happens basketball, is just not super exciting. Games literally feel like 3 point contests, a lot of blows outs too mainly centered around who’s hot and who is cold.

It's so interesting that I am going to post the part about the Blazers duo:
Portland Trail Blazers
Like Wall and Beal, the Damian Lillard-C.J. McCollum duo is the rare backcourt with both players scoring above the 20-point mark. But unlike the Wizards, they don’t rely on each other to get those numbers. Wall assists Beal twice as often as Lillard-to-McCollum (every 12.3 minutes compared to every 30.6 minutes). The same goes for Beal-to-Wall (every 41.7 minutes) and McCollum-to-Lillard (every 80.4 minutes).

One contributing factor: McCollum has shot 33.3 percent from 3-point land on Lillard’s passes compared to 40.8 percent from all other teammates. That same lopsided split showed up last season, too.

But Portland fans shouldn’t fret too much just yet. The Portland offense has been far healthier than the Wizards’ outfit. Portland’s 113.4 offensive rating with Lillard and McCollum on the floor suggests they don’t need to reinvent the wheel here. Furthermore, Lillard isn’t a natural distributor like Wall, so setting up McCollum all the time isn’t a huge surprise.

The chemistry between McCollum and Lillard isn’t super inspiring when it comes to crunchtime. In 28 minutes of clutch situations this season, Lillard and McCollum have combined for 13 field goals between them, but interestingly enough, no assists from each other. Lillard has fed Al-Farouq Aminu and Jusuf Nurkic for buckets twice, but nothing to McCollum.

This isn’t a new thing either. Last season, Lillard assisted just six of McCollum’s 37 crunchtime buckets and McCollum assisted just one of Lillard’s 39. The fact that Lillard only scored once off of a McCollum pass looks worse when you consider that McCollum had 14 clutch assists last season. The lesson here is that Lillard and McCollum don’t need each other to put up big numbers. But they might need to if they want to take the leap in the playoffs.

Sorry if this response is out of place. So much of the Lillard and CJ in crunch time stuff is because of how Stotts runs the offense. Usually the guy who’s been “on” gets the majority of the crunch time ball handling / shooting and the other is mostly a decoy in the corner. The Blazers offense grinds to halt late games, its mostly Dame ot CJ dribbling a lot and either getting their own or making ONE pass (usually when they couldnt shake their man).

I think Dame and CJ have pretty good chemistry together its more a function of the offense than how well they play together.

I hate Twitter. Most assume that's because I'm an angry old white man. That's bullshit (fucking kids these days). It has been demonstrated that other angry old white men absolutely LOVE Twitter and can't get enough of it.

Nope, I hate it because I believe in the integrity of language. I even spell out complete words when I text my kids. I find that Twitter spew to be an incomprehensible abomination. It encourages lassitude. I'll have none of that! Now get the fuck off my lawn and leave me alone.

Hey, I always spell out complete words when I text too ! And I'm not even old ! I am, though, angry and white.

It does seem odd that they assist each other so little. Are they more valuable as decoys? Couldn't we mix it up a little?

Give credit to the Clippers. They overwhelmingly won the Chris Paul and Blake Griffin trades.

Well Houston was in the WCF last year ans before CP3 got hurt they were up 3-2. Clippers have been pretty good this year but they havent really proved anything yet.

Yes, but CP3 DID get hurt and they DIDN'T make the Finals and now they've had to give a huge contract to a guy who always gets hurt in the playoffs. So they stuck themselves with a big contract and will be paying Chris Paul way too much money for what he'll be worth in a couple years. They're one of the worst teams in the West now and they lost Harrell in the process. Meanwhile, Clips are full of talent with cap space to play with in the summer. I think they're in a much better position than the Rockets. Blake Griffin is playing well in Detroit, but Harris is just as good and Clips got Bradley in the trade too and again, they saved cap space for this summer.

Having cap space doesnt neccesarily mean they’ll get any of big name guys they want. Im not saying they’re in a bad position, cause they arent.

You should create a separate thread ALLLLLLLL about the Clippers on our Trail Blazer fan forum. I'm sure EVERYBODY wants to chime in if they are "real" or not. Can't wait!
