Weird trade between the Clippers and Pelicans: Wesley Johnson for Alexis Ajinca.

I guess this saves the Clippers about $900,000 after they waive Ajinca. That doesn't seem worth it to me.

I wouldn't mind us taking a chance on an old PG. Going into games with a shooting guard as your main backup.... I just wish we had a pure point guard to run some plays.

And old back up PG is exactly what we need. Wish Andre Miller was still around.

I still think he would have made them tougher to beat.

In the 38 games he played, they went 22-16. That's a 47-win pace over a full 82-game schedule. They won 46. So, not really all that much better with him in the line up.

And now he's another year older...

Wait, what are the Bucks doing? They traded for Jodie Meeks and are cutting him? Didn't they already have too many players?

Agree for the most part, but I think they have 15 guaranteed contracts on the roster.

Edit: Would it really surprise you if the Suns signed him to play PG?

They'd be better off just playing Devin Booker at the point. His AST% last season was 24.4. The last time Crawford had an AST% that high Travis Outlaw was a rookie (2003-04).

Myles Turner just signed a 4 year, $80 million extension. The Nurkic contract looks fantastic in comparison.

Wow, that seems like a huge overpay. You're right, it makes Nurk look like a real bargain. $20 million a year vs. $12 million a year. Hell, I'd take Nurk over Turner even if the salaries were equal. We already have one overpaid Turner on our roster.

Turner missed 17 games last season. When he did play, he averaged 12.7 ppg. 6.4 rpg. 1.8 bpg and shit .479 FG% in 28.2 mpg.

Compare that to Nurk who played 79 games and average 14.3 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.4 bpg and shot .505 FG% in 26.4 mpg.

Turner is a good shot blocker, but a pretty weak rebounder for his size/position.

Another Turner got a big contract today. Myles Turned 4 years 72 million. Makes the Nurkic signing look even better. Is Turner much better than Nurkic? 24 million more?

Most of the stats point to Nurkic being better than Turner as far as I can tell. BNM did a pretty good post a little ways up on it. The Nurkic Contract was really well done for the Blazers in my opinion.
