Easily my favorite sequence I've seen. There have been bigger shots/moments but that entire sequence is tough to top. I did not see the (approximation) 7 points the Blazers scored in the final 15 seconds against the Bulls? back in the day before the 3-point shot to come from behind and win by 1.

Anyone remember that more clearly or can find a link? That would have been pretty spectacular as well.

I didn't see it. But I listened to it on the radio :)

Trob would’ve stuck around if he had embraced his role a little more. In his mind he was a star that got the short end of the stick. Very similar to Faried. The only difference is Faried kept it in check until he got paid. Now nobody wants him either, and I don’t think it’s only because of his contract.

That is why I put the Per Game numbers versus the Per 36 numbers....I knew someone would bring that up. TRob is frenetic on the boards but the rest of his game keeps him off the court for most of the game no matter where he plays. Farid has enough game that he plays a solid 25 mpg over an 8 year career so far. Not bad. Not great either...but not bad.

Hey, let's trade for Dirk Nowitzki - he's probably averaged 35 mpg over a 20 year career! What's that you say? His minutes are much lower in recent years? You mean, like Faried's 14 mpg this season?

Denver has been TRYING to GIVE Faried away for a while now. The fact that there are no takers speaks volumes.

That Block from TRob against brewer was legendary. The crowd reaction was epic .

Can you clarify the details of that game?
Not really. Was it the playoff game that went into overtime in '77 ? That Chicago series was tough. We almost didn't get out of the first round. The rest is history.

Comparing Farid to Dirk now. This IS getting fun. :bgrin:

The 14th pick speaks even higher volumes, which is why he's being talked about at all.

I don't think Denver will offer that, but that's the rumor.

The Blazers' 1st predraft workout includes: Duke G Gary Trent Jr., UCLA G Aaron Holiday, Villanova G Jalen Brunson, Tulane G Melvin Frazier, Ohio State F Keita Bates-Diop & Louisville F Raymond Spalding.
No centers! Confirmed trading for Dwight Howard - :hoops:

Oh.....goody.

Did we ever work out Collins? I know we worked Swanigan out.

The only ones I'm even somewhat interested in are Frazier & Brunson... but I view both as early second rounders.

I'd have a tough time using #24 on any of these players.

Bates-Diop would not be a terrible pick at 24.

NO mentioned going to a game or two at Gonzaga. I think they were sold on him well before the workouts and never worked him out.

I watched him live in the first 2 NCAA tournament games.

I wasn't impressed with him. He has a good shot, but has lead feet.

Not quick enough on either end to be a SF.... and maybe not even quick enough to be a PF.

Besides hitting a few catch & shoot shots, he didn't really jump out as an NBA talent.

Frazier is absolute garbage.

Frazier is absolute garbage.
I haven't been able to find enough game film on him to decide for sure.

His athletic profile is amazing. It appears he has significantly improved his game over the last 3 years. He has a high TS%, but other metrics are a bit disappointing for an NBA talent.

I thought he looked good in the combine scrimmage....

Yeah he has too much spazz in his game for my liking. Mechanics from both the line and 3 don't have me very optimistic about his shot.

Good length, rangy athlete and underrated ball skills though. Decision making might not allow him to make much use of them though.
