I would think that Mikal would go earlier but what do I know. He would be a win in my eyes. I need to take a look at Shai several on here have mentioned him.

I also think this draft is better and deeper than most think. Then again I get hyped when the draft comes around and want every under dog available.

Completely agree that Mikal goes earlier. That is just who I would like that I think would fit this team oh-so-well. Porter could end up being the best scorer in this draft so to get him at #6 IF that was possible, would be a steal IMO.

Shai to me is just a bigger PG who has worked his butt off (which I like) to move up into the Lottery. That fact that he is a combo at 6'6" instead of 6'3" is attractive as well and fits with Dame.

A lot of speculation pieced together by several different tidbits. The most grandiose would be a big move up to Orlando's pick and then swapping that out for say the Clipppers two picks at #12 and #13 depending on who is available at #6. The Blazers are more than one piece away so I kind of like the trading up to trade down to get more assets approach which is more like the NFL. Here, it can be just one player that hits that can really catapult a franchise.

Otto Porter was almost a consensus #1 pick before he got hurt.

But how would we get to 6 without trading CJ

If Portland has a way to get to #6, they should try and leverage that to 2-4 to get Luka

Trade the TPE and pick up another first. Package it with 6 and 24 and maybe it gets you up enough?

Brunson IMO would immediately be the primary backup PG.

Another PG in our range that would immediately improve our bench:

He's a player that I would trade up a few spots for as well.

His shooting is what stands out the most: 6 attempts from three per game -- on 43%(!) shooting.

We can’t trade our TPE for Faried and #14, can we? Faried makes $13.8M next season and TPE is $13.0M from what I remember.

Only 12.9 this season though. If the trade is done before 7/1, it works.

I still don’t get why an NBA team would promise a guy their gonna draft them, what happens if someone makes a great offer to you and wants that pick? What if some guy you had higher on your board drops to you?
Seems like bad business to me, but I guess that’s why I’m not a GM

It also seems pretty stupid to announce to the rest of the NBA that if you want this player then you better move up ahead.

Great then, The Ringer guys think Denver are willing to give up #14 and Faried for nothing and that’s what we would give them. Problem is Dallas, Atlanta and Sacramento would be on it too, possibly also Brooklyn, and all of them could also give them late firsts or early seconds. We could give them #24 but I don’t really want us to.

I still think we have to include the 24th pick, i just can't Imagine a nba Team give up a lottery Pick for nothing, i mean okay they get rid of that faried Contract but i don't know man

I remember the craziest promise to draft a player......I think it was the '05 draft. The Hawks promised to take Marvin Williams with the #2 pick. Even though they already had Josh Childress, Al Harrington and Josh Smith on the roster. They chose to NOT draft Derron Williams and CP3 even though I believe their starting PG was Tyronn Lue!!!! What the fuck were they thinking?

Quite possible, then again Raptors gave up two first round pick to get rid of Carroll last year and Lakers gave up Russell to get out of Mozgov’s contract (nobody knew they would also get Kuzma in the same deal and how good he would turn out to be).

Denver need cap space to extend Jokic or else they put themselves deep in luxury tax. Their owners seem tight with money so you never know. Thing is, somebody will offer them a late first along with cap space anyway, or an early second.

Damn HCP, you can't bring up the 2005 NBA Draft and question other teams when the Blazers traded the 3rd pick when they could've had Derron Williams or Chris Paul too.

Totally agree. I was just bringing up the "promise" aspect of it. We blew that one for sure!

All because we had Telfair on the roster. The only good thing about Telfair is that he was part of the trade that got us Brandon Roy.
