No one answered the first time so let me ask it again; is it true that the Blazers aren’t holding a draft party this year?

There’s no effort. Neil is on vacation. Team won’t win a game next year. Can you stop now?

Yes but Dame was at like every single one of em. He has meetings with Paul on the regular now.

I think Neil only deals with teams that he can trust to keep it a secret. Somehow it works but it could also be short sighted of Neil to only work with those teams.

Dame wasn’t there exclusively to watch prospects. He’s there for offseason work, along with a lot of other guys. I wouldn’t read into it. Allen not being there is more telling.

I love seeing that Dame is there. I’m quite sure we won’t get better thru this draft, it will have to come thru free agency and trades, but I love that our leader is there overseeing things.

I heard something on a forum elsewhere that he had character concerns.. Do you know anything about that?

I dont.
I watched some of the combine and he looked confident and aggressive, seemed to stand out.
The commentators were impressed with his 3&D length and motor.

Not that I heard of... seems like it’s the first year they haven’t held one... must be a sign they are trading out of draft??

I think it's a sign that Neil is standing pat and not changing the roster one bit.....what do you think?
 
I have to say, the draft is always one of my favorite sports days. But, I'm not really feeling the excitement this year. Maybe Neil will surprise me.
 
Definitely hoping for a draft day trade that brings an experienced player or two over. I can't imagine us keeping the 24th pick. I could see Neil picking up a second round pick for a project player though.

They were one of the teams that worked out Simons twice. But I don’t think this is about that, because they would’ve waited until tomorrow if it was. They’re probably looking to move up.
