You're just mad that it screwed over Tony Pollard :D
I'm not worried about that at all. There is a long history of holdout RBs getting injured shortly after reporting. When Zeke gets hurt I'll have a sure fire starting RB without the threat of Zeke signing.

I'd say the same thing if the Chargers signed Gordon to a similar contract.

The deal isn't officially done yet though.

I saw a report that there is one team interested in Gordon too. Chargers are asking for a 1st and 5th plus you'd have to pay Gordon around $13 million so I'd be surprised if a trade happened.

There's no F'in way I'd give that up and then pay Gordon what he wants (coming from a guy that just landed Clowney for a 3rd and two back up LB's)

And split this seasons Clowney salary with Houston, and if Clowney walks next season we'll likely get a 3rd round comp pick back lmao. Love it. GO HAWKS

What team?

I have to assume the Chargers would move off that asking price.

I think a team that'd trade for Gordon would be a young team who's contending with tons of space that'd sign him to a large short-term deal.

Houston.

It makes no sense for a young team to give up picks for short term.

Houston just gave up a ton of picks including a 3rd for Duke. I'd be surprised if that's the team.

That would make sense. Duke Johnson owners pooping themselves
I'm praying it happens.

San Francisco would make some sense too, but only if it was short-term!

I could see a team coming out of nowhere for him though. Maybe Baltimore or Philadelphia (yes please!).

Might take till mid-season when a contender loses a starting RB.

With Luck going down, that division, in particular, is wide open. Houston might actually be the favorite right now (though I think it's Jax).

Not the picks it's reported that the Chargers are asking for. I do think it makes sense for a team on the cusp where Gordon could possibly put them over the top.

Not Jax, definitely Houston. I'll be shocked if they don't win it.

I saw a verified (doesn't mean much I know) twitter account predict Carolina. I was like what the fuck? Please no. I own McCaffery in two leagues. I don't see it. But like you said, out of nowhere. Could keep McCaffery fresh and balance their run (thunder/lightening)

Nah, that makes absolutely 0 sense. Would kill both their values.

Unless they'd plan on using McCaffrey often as a slot WR...? That could actually be very-interesting...

Jax was in the AFC Championship game two years ago and they have a better QB. I'd pick Jax to win the AFC South
Nowhere near the same caliber of defense. They were dominant on that end of the ball the year they made it there. They're still solid now but not good enough to carry the offense, so Foles needs to have a great season. I'd count on Houston doing what they're expected to do before that happens.

I think he was definitely thinking outside the box, and I can kind of see it in a way. Carolina is solid (might think they're in a championship window). McCaffrey isn't a big guy. A tough work load for him to handle basically alone in the Pro's.

Baltimore just signed Mark Ingram and Philly is loaded at RB.

Green Bay could be interesting as I've heard they're down on Aaron Jones.

But they could go for a Kamara/Ingram type of pairing.

Philly is mediocre at RB.
The Ravens drafted Justise Hill to be their Kamara and they still have Gus Edwards who was decent at the end of last year.

Philly loves their rookie Miles Sanders. Jordan Howard is more than a capable back too.
