Dude, I'm not fucking complaining. You are once again turning this into something it's not.

Why do you have to make a discussion into some personal fucking big deal?
Just because you say you arent complaining doesnt mean you arent complaining. Youre complaining that the scoring is 4 points. Youre complaining about the waiver wire order. Maybe you mean to come across differently than you are, because they sound like nothing else but a complaint. What else would you call it?

Given last year and how Ive tried to fix every single thing you complained about, its tiring. Especially since you had the chance to bring it up before the draft and waited until now to do so.

So saying 'Its fine that you disagree" makes whatever youre complaining about not a complaint?

I've never heard someone complain about a fantasy football league as much as you do. I dont have a problem with you or JDC or anyone having their own preferences... Im just not trying to deal with constant complaining all year.

I cant wait for the "If we had 6pt passing TDs, Id have won..."

You are completely out of line here Bones. You are taking something personal when we are merely having a discussion. I stated several times that I'm not trying to change the rules this year otherwise I would've brought them up earlier. You're once again making me feel like I can't express my opinions. You say you are open to discussion but then say shit like I'm complaining and you'll never change that rule. I've said nothing to attack you personally. I appreciate that you took the time to lay out the rules clearly this year.

I'm entitled to have my own opinion. We disagree a lot about fantasy rules and procedures. It doesn't mean I'm complaining or trying to fuck up your league. Please stop turning our disagreements into something they are not.

I'm out of line for thinking you complain a lot? Amazing.

Im fine if people dont like the scoring and they can voice it, but none of them complain anywhere near as much as you have. Most of them will say somerhing positive about it as well. You? Nope!

"Defensive scoring is strict"
"The scoring makes no sense"
"You're trying to change the discussion to magnify your point"

Couldve been something I couldve easily changed before the draft. Dont know why you waited until now.

You dont have the power to mess anything up, so I'm not worried about that. Im just tired of you basically telling me I'm doing a shit job when I literally listen to everyone and TOLD you to give me feedback on everything you wanted to before the draft. It's annoying.

I'm telling you flat out that I'm not complaining. You throw out stuff for discussion and other than myself people barely say anything so it makes it look like I'm the only one and it's complaining but it's not. I'm trying to start a discussion now so that we don't have the same issues next year where we try and discuss a rule and not enough people care to give their input making it come back to just you and I fighting about it.

Honestly, I thought your reasoning for the 4 point passing TD last year was because of the two QB starting lineups. That's my bad for not noticing it sooner, which is why I clearly said the first time I brought it up that I was talking about next year. I'm totally okay with the rules the way they are as unlike last year they were clear from the beginning. I have no right to complain about the rules because I knew them before I signed up. You saying you won't ever change a rule, talking about power, and being like this whenever I disagree with you doesn't feel very inviting for people to provide their feedback.

As for the waiver process, you don't think the waiver priority being accurate is an issue? This isn't an attack on anything you did but if you should've been 1st on waivers and were near the bottom instead you wouldn't question why? If it was reverse draft order I should have been 1st. If it was reverse of the numbers you pulled out of your hat then I should've been 4th. Once again I'm not saying you did anything wrong but is it not fair to ask why I started towards the back of waivers instead of near the top? Until players are locked this weekend it could still be a factor. Are you saying it's not okay for me to ask what the way of determining the waiver order is?

Is there some side game I don't know about?

BTW Tortured, I approve your choice for the AFC North champs...
Oh, earlier today platy said we should pick the divisions / playoffs. I dont think it was a “game” though obviously its all in fun. What’re your thoughts overall? Who would you pick?

Oh and I kind of like Pitt with out the head aches. Obviously Bell and AB are immensely talented and although I 100% understand Bell sitting out it was a distraction, AB just seems to have gone full on Diva, not sure how that isnt a distraction too. I think Connor / Juju probably arent as talented as the guys they’re replacing, but they arent that far off and come with a lot more focus on winning.

No idea.

Do think Pit gets back into the playoffs. Browns sneak in and may even win the division. Talent is obviously not a problem there.

NFC feels wide open. Should be fun.

You act like I do a shit job and its annoying. You're the only one.

Nobody will remember this discussion a year from now. I don't see how you think we will.

I dont control waivers. But waivers after the draft before week 1 isnt really relevent. Also, 12th pick isnt necessarily worse than the 6th pick, so I dont follow the logic of you getting the top waiver priority because you had the 12th pick. You picked the 12th pick over other picks. In the end though, it doesnt seem like a big deal at all. I wouldnt say anything about it personally.

It's not about you disagreeing with me and it's BS that you're trying to paint it as such. I asked for feedback on the playoff structure, you disagreed (surprise), but I listened, had a discussion, and because I LISTENED to your feedback, Im going with the simple 6-team playoff.

But yeah, "Im like this" when you disagree. Bullshit. That's the type of thing I'm talking about.

I'm like this when you act like Im doing a shit job, which is often. I'm like this when you start calling my scoring system out saying it "makes no sense" when you had the power to change it! FFS.

The 4 point per TD thing doesn't make sense to me. I was explaining what I meant to someone who asked me a question about what I meant by nerfing the QB. I can see how you think that is directed at you and your running of the league, but it isn't and I'm sorry if it comes across that way. Just because I don't like TD's scored that way doesn't mean I think you're doing a shit job. It has nothing to do with you. I think all TD's should be worth 6 points. That isn't a commentary on you or your rules of this league, it's just what I think. If I thought ANYTHING negative about you or the league I wouldn't have played this year.

Waivers after the draft and before the 1st game can be relevant. Every time someone is dropped they go on waivers. The reason this was brought up is because someone got someone off of waivers and then traded that person. Someone else brought it up and I asked you how it was determined. The default is usually reverse draft order until week one. I'm not saying it has to be that but I can't find anywhere in the rules that explains how ESPN determined waiver priority. Once again, that was not a commentary on your abilities I simply was trying to figure out what the rule is. The waiver process has been used 8 times to determine who gets a player since the draft, I fail to see how that makes it completely irrelevant. The only rules I can find about it are after week 1. I did see that in custom leagues the commish has the power to set it after the draft, for next year lets determine how that should be assigned instead of assuming I'm just complaining about it. You've used the waiver wire for 4 of your transactions which means that it is relevant to you so please don't argue otherwise (this isn't meant as anything other than you've used it for relevancy).

Personally, I think the 4pt passing touchdown thing makes a ton of sense. The QB isn't the one actually scoring the TD; he's just delivering the ball. If he runs the ball in or catches a TD off a trick play, then sure, 6pts all the way. But I think there's compete validity to him not getting the full 6 for throwing a TD to someone else. And I also agree that it would overly inflate the value of QB's scoring, especially in a passing-centric league like what we have now. I mean it's actually a lot easier and more common for a QB to throw 3 TD's than for a WR or RB to score 2, and right now both scenarios are worth 12 points. I might even suggest TD throws should only be worth 3 points...but that might be going overboard.

Also, and I'm not familiar with ESPN's scoring system, but did someone indicate that defensive and return TD's aren't worth 6 points for the defense? That just seems silly to me.

They're 5. I didn't know if the interception (2) counted as well as the TD return (5) so I split the difference.

I was 11th and got Penny. Had I not, I wouldn't have said shit. Then I dropped him. Negligence I switched out defenses too. Not important to me.

I guess you are unaware of your whole vibe with this, because thats the vibe I've always gotten from you. Outside of this, your vibe is fine.

I see the logic there. I might counter, however, that receiving TD's count for receiving yards (and a catch in PPR), and also are still worth the full 6 for the score.

Not a big deal one way or the other.

Or is it possible since we are competing against each other for money in a league you run you're perceiving slights against you differently in this thread?

The waiver process was questioned first by someone other than me based on a trade by someone other than me. Instead of addressing the confusion or helping figure out why ESPN would set it up that way you take it as a complaint by me and try to minimize the impact of the way it's setup. You're reading that as me complaining which I tried very carefully to make sure you knew I wasn't. I'm not looking for justification of your moves, nor am I questioning them.

This league is competitive which makes it great. When money is on the line every minor detail could potentially play a factor. I apologize for the way my posts come across but can you please address the discussion about the process so we can fix it instead of me personally?

Just read that Antonio Brown is gonna get suspended for getting into it with the GM.
That guy is extremely talented but what in the world is going on in his head right now, is he just listening to the wrong people or something?

...my theory is that he will never play this season and possibly never again :dunno: this entire dog and pony show is just an act for press/ratings and relevancy for the Las Vegas move (and on the Raiders side just trying to recoup as much of the money they signed him to). Pretty sure it takes years and years to build up your foot calluses for all of the fancy footwork he does on the field. He was even quoted a couple weeks ago saying they feel like whoopee cushions when he tries to run sharp routes. He is fucked!

*smiles*
*removes pin from grenade*

All TD's should be 6 pts.
Waiver order should've been reverse draft order.
The 'average" defense shouldn't put up 0 or negative points.

I've been playing single QB ppr for ~13 years (via Yahoo, ESPN) and all leagues
QB's 1 point per 10 passing yards. (With a couple exceptions I've been part of .5 point per 10)
All TD's are 6 points.

*Smiles again*
*Drops grenade*

*Will return around week 12 when surely someone is fucking heated*

I really wish y'all went with the play in game, so a below .500 7th seed could've beat the 6th seed, then the 6th seed loser would've raised hell. That would've been priceless.

Interesting theory. I'm not sure I agree all the way, but something definitely is wrong there. I bet the Steelers are pretty relieved right now.

...oh and the helmet fiasco was just a distraction and backup excuse for him not playing anyway -- the Rooney's are definitely laughing in their graves!

Great part about tonight's game is that either the Bears or Packers will lose.

Bad part about tonight's game is that either the Bears or Packers will win.
