He don't get mentioned enough everyone get down on him for shooting to much they never regonize what he does on the other end.
I usually don't comment on content, but wtf kind of gibberish is this? Have some pride! Use some goddamn punctuation or something!

I think our second unit will look like this, at least initially

Simons
Bazemore
Hezonja
Tolliver
Collins (Gasol when healthy)

Skal will take a spot eventually my boy is too good.

something has to give. If you assume Dame/CJ will combine for around 70 minutes, that only leaves 26-28 minutes at most at guard. If Hood gets 28 minutes, then there is somewhere around 45-50 minutes left for the three perimeter positions. That's 15-17 minutes each for Simons/Bazemore/Hezonja. Bazemore is likely to be in the 24 minute range which would leave 10-14 minutes each for Simons and Hezonja

another way to look at it, 144 minutes on the perimeter. Dame/CJ at 7o; Hood/Bazemore at 50...leaving 24 minutes for Simons/Hezonja/anybody-else. After all the chatter and insane-over-the-top-hype about Simons, he would be getting all 24 of those minutes himself if he's half as good as the hype. If Hezonja is to get any consistent burn, he'll need to slide to backup PF which then creates a little conflict with Tolliver....assuming Tolliver will be getting any burn

When other benches go small

Hezonja
Collins

Oh No! If everyone is healthy two minimum salary guys like Hezonja and Tolliver could get less minutes than they would like.

Something like this wouldn't be unreasonable.

Dame 35 Simons 20
CJ 34 Bazemore 22
Hood 26 Hezonja 22
Collins 25 Skal/Toll 15
Whiteside 28 Pau 15

English is not his first language if I remember correctly...I'd cut the grammar some slack..

English is not his native language I believe. I like his take on many things. We would likely not do any better in his native tongue .

Thank you for sharing these clips! I thought GTJ looked strong on the defensive end throughout Summer League and am glad to hear that he's even upped that to a higher level during training camp. I feel like I'm in the minority here when it comes to Trent Jr's outlook with the team. I know he has a shoot-first mentality, but from what I've seen he's a willing passer and, typically, guys who are gunners off the bench don't care at all for the other end of the floor. To hear that Trent is going all out is a fabulous sign. He's still not in the rotation just yet, but if he continues to progress hopefully he's rewarded with playing time on back to backs or against lesser opponents.

I think he's made for the pro game. I believe he will be one of the surprises this year. I could see he and Dame playing the back court at times.
I dont forget that Chauncey is huge on this youngster!

River, hope the pain isn't to bad today!
Yesterday you mentioned Oxy, when I had my left knee done I took a few of those and they helped, but they gave me the urge to go out to Amazon and purchase stuff!
My wife say's for a guy that doesn't like to shop, you sure went full tilt boogie!

Also, Ive been curious on how you come up with "Riverman" as you're handle.
I thinks its one of the best in the forum...of course Im partial with anything river in it!

I even like THE PORTLAND RIVER for a MLB team.

Somewhere we have a thread about our avatar names and why we chose them....I could dig it up...the name was given to me by friends who know my love for hiking and fishing fresh water rivers....I wrote a song about a cement company that ruined my favorite river spot in Taroko Gorge in Taiwan....the chorus was...."I asked the riverman why"....

This is assuming health as well. Players will end up getting more/less minutes depending on who is injured. Maybe Baze plays only 20 MPG when everyone is healthy, but his average MPG on the season may be 25+ because of injuries.

Pretty sure they are slotting Hezonja as mostly a 4 at this point. Hezonja talked about it in one of his recent interviews that they're mainly playing him at the 4.

I think the backup 4 minutes are up for grabs between Hezonja/Tolliver/Skal. It may be matchup dependent, unless one player clearly outplays the others and earns that spot. Tolliver looks to slot into that Meyers role last season - not a guaranteed rotation player, but he'll play a good amount based on matchups and whether they need a spacer at the 4/5. Hezonja and Skal are more of the variable guys. Ideally one of them plays well enough to cement their spot in the rotation, but they'll probably be given opportunities and then jerked around here and there when they inevitably run into walls.
