Not everyone who is homeless has an addiction or mental illness. I was once homeless and I had neither.

Most interesting!
As a homeless person, how did you come to possess the wisdom to empower you with knowledge and righteousness to delete the posts of other in this forum?

The Democratic party isn't embracing Bloomberg. He hasn't won a single primary .

It was a long journey

I didn’t say all but most are.

I wouldn't say most. 30-40% maybe. Most people who become homeless actually start the drugs afternot before becoming homeless. It is more cause than affect.

Many homeless people have mental issues. Going homeless will fuck with you.

There are also many veterans who are homeless. They are dealing with ptsd on top of being homeless because their country failed them.

There are also young people...street kids who run away from home and choose homelessness. A lot of those kids were either suffering abuse at home or failed by the education system.

All in all the homeless are humans like you and me. No one should be raising their nose up at them or looking at them like they are less than. To anyone who would do that, I say careful you may one day be in their shoes.

Homelessness is a weird issue. Lots of people always go straight to it’s drugs and mental illness, but its a lot of things. Cost of living is crazy in big cities even people willing to work cant always afford a place to live. The credit system is meant to work against, not for people. I know many choose that lifestyle for one reason or another. I think like most things many want to just point to one aspect and say we fix that and we fix the whole thing.
We should do better with mental help. We should do better with helping people in general. Those who want housing and are willing to work should get it. Those who who cant take care of themselves should have the help required to give them good living conditions. Too many kids and single parents, and people who need help are left behind by society and end up on the streets.

You just know it was only a matter of time;

Trump allies take aim at Buttigieg’s sexuality, a possible sign of things to come

Allies of President Trump have sharply focused attention on the sexual identity of presidential contender Pete Buttigieg in recent days, questioning in stark terms whether Americans are ready for a gay candidate who kisses his husband onstage.

The attacks are prompting blunt responses from Buttigieg’s allies and even his Democratic rivals, who call the remarks inappropriate and offensive. The exchanges were ignited by radio host Rush Limbaugh, who received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Trump last week and who framed his comments as an ostensible analysis of how Democrats feel.

“They’re sitting there and they’re looking at Mayor Pete — a 37-year-old gay guy, mayor of South Bend, loves to kiss his husband on the debate stage. And they’re saying, okay, how’s this going to look, a 37-year-old gay guy kissing his husband onstage next to Mr. Man Donald Trump? What’s going to happen there?” Limbaugh said. (Buttigieg is 38.)

Yes, CNN gave air time to a Trump supporting self proclaimed manliness expert, kid you not, who said based on nothing that obese 73 year old tiny hands Cadet Bone Spurs is more manly than handsome fit 38 year old veteran. Rush is having a sad that Buttigieg was shoved down Trump's throat. Ever notice how homophobes have this obsession with throats?

Got quite chuckle when I read that. :biglaugh:

Nice of you to forgive Donnie.
There's a lot to forgive. Also, true forgiveness requires someone to ask for that forgiveness. And let me add, Trump has never asked for forgiveness in his life.

Trump doesn't know what it means to be a man

I believe they were the rings of power.

And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of S2 posters, who above all else desire power. For within these rings was bound the strength and the will to govern each thread. But they were all of them deceived, for another ring was made. Deep in the land of Mods, in the Fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Chris Craig forged a master ring, and into this ring he poured his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life on S2.

I've never watched the Harry Potter movies, so I don't really know what all this means.

So God Made A Bloomberg
February 18, 2020 By Sean Davis

And on the 8th day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, “I need a tiny, soulless technocrat to tell everyone else how to live their lives.” So God made a Bloomberg.

God said, “I need a know-it-all Wall Street banker who made more money by getting fired than most men will make their entire lives working an honest job.” So God made a Bloomberg.

“I need somebody with hands strong enough to carry a stool and a booster seat wherever he goes, but gentle enough to sign the voter registration papers as a Democrat, and then a Republican, and then an Independent, and then a Democrat again.

“Somebody who would tell a female employee to kill her own baby so she could work longer hours, a grieving family that it’s a waste to give medical care to old people, or a farmer that growing food is easy and any idiot with half a brain could manage it. Someone who could tell a mother that parenting was as simple as hiring ‘some black who doesn’t even have to speak English’ to raise her dumb kid.” So God made a Bloomberg.

God said, “I need somebody willing to randomly accost black men for no good reason other than having the wrong color skin. I need somebody who will say that the best way to reduce crime is to target black kids and ‘throw them up against the walls and frisk them’ for the crime of being black. Someone who will brag that one side effect of putting ‘all the cops in the minority neighborhoods’ is that you end up ‘arresting kids for marijuana that are all minorities.’” So God made a Bloomberg.

“I need somebody willing to tell those awful poors that they need to be disproportionately taxed for their own good because they’re too stupid to know what’s good for them. Somebody who will ban the sale of 32 oz. fountain drinks, but not the sale of two 16 oz. sodas, because everyone knows sugary syrup from a single cup is way worse for you than sugary syrup from two smaller cups, plus it’s not like Fatty Boombalatty over there has the self-control to put down the Big Gulp himself.” So God made a Bloomberg.

God had to have somebody willing to forcibly remove black guns from black hands because, “They just don’t have any long-term focus or anything.” Somebody who thought the best way to reduce crime was to take the description of “male, minority, 16 to 25” and “Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops.” So God made a Bloomberg.

God said, “I need somebody with no charm, no charisma, and no compelling reason to ever serve in government to nonetheless buy his way onto the ballot, then buy his way into the mayor’s office, then buy off the city council to eliminate the two-term limit on mayoral service. And then I need him to spend nine figures buying his way into the Democrat primary, because there would be nothing more hilarious than watching a broken down old socialist get robbed, again, by yet another New York crony who is the life-size poster child for everything that’s wrong with modern capitalism.”

So God made a Bloomberg.

I like how it's trying to make Sanders' (or Democrats' in general) positions seem ridiculous and yet only mentions things that most people find reasonable (based on polling), like universal health care, government-funded college and *gasp* paid parental leave!

It's really the paid parental leave that racked up the huge body counts in Soviet Russia.

If Biden continues to fade, expect Senate Republicans to drop Burisma investigation and launch new investigation into Sanders family finances.

Expect Barr to announce criminal investigation of whoever Democrats nominate. As with Burisma and emails, no crime is necessary, just an endless investigation.

I fully expect the Democrats themselves to pull out all those stops against Sanders. At this point I’m completely convinced that establishment Dems would rather see a Trump presidency than a Sanders one. At least then they can still be one big corrupt happy family. I actually think Sanders will put forth an effort to break all that up, despite my few qualms about him.
