As young voters embrace Sen. Bernie Sanders' promises of 'free' college and health care, a new study shows only 16 percent of millennials are 'financially literate.'

Bernie Sanders pushes Joe Biden out of the frontrunner spot for the Democratic nomination, capturing a record 31 percent support among primary voters in a new Fox News Poll. This is the first 2020 Fox national poll that finds Biden not leading the Democratic race.

The survey also finds a marked increase in the number of voters who think President Trump will win the election.

Sanders has gained 8 percentage points since January in the nomination race, while Biden drops into second with 18 percent, down 8 points. Close behind is Mike Bloomberg at 16 percent, up 6 points since last month and triple his 5 percent in December. Pete Buttigieg comes in at 12 percent (up 5), Elizabeth Warren at 10 percent (down 4), and Amy Klobuchar at 5 percent (up 2).

This is the first Fox News poll with five candidates in double digits. It was conducted Sunday through Wednesday. Sanders, notably, was the most attacked candidate during Tuesday’s contentious presidential debate in South Carolina.

Sanders performs well with groups across the board, with an extra boost from young voters, self-described liberals, whites without a college degree, and those looking for change.

Biden is strongest among women over age 45, voters who regularly attend religious services, and those who long for a return to the pre-Trump era.

The nomination race looks almost the same when narrowed to Democratic primary voters in the 14 Super Tuesday states: Sanders remains on top with 30 percent, followed by Bloomberg at 18 percent, Biden 17 percent, Warren 11 percent, and Buttigieg and Klobuchar each get 8 percent.

You and I were young and ignorant of subtleties, and vulnerable to the media.

In the late 60s, a rookie newspaper reader would think that everyone opposed Lyndon Johnson. Later, Carter. Later, that everyone loved Reagan. Later, against Clinton, and now against Trump.

Political opposition was quiet in the US, from the start of the Depression to the explosion of freedom in the late 60s.

More direct evidence against your statement: A couple of hours after the assassination, my French teacher lectured us angrily on how it was no loss. She was from France, thus Catholic.

That's funny, I knew a Swiss lady that adored him.
No, the Germans loved him. Europeans in general loved him.
I've never seen such a solemn occasion as his funeral. My high school class got a lecture from my German teacher on how best to preserve his memory. No one was not extremely sad at his passing.
 
I could never vote for Trump. I recognized him as a self centered narcistic jerk and liar years ago.
It really doesn't matter who anyone votes for. The electoral college is the barb wire that chokes free elections.
For me, if Buttigieg, Biden, Warren, Klobucher or Bloomberg advance to the nomination then I'll throw another meaningless vote that way. Sanders is not for me but I would cast a vote so Trump doesn't advance. .
 
Well, after STue it will be very interesting to see who's left and where the support will go?
 
Soooo. Joe won big today. Has he effectively climbed back in this thing? Tuesday will be all-telling.

Why are you harassing strangers in their homes enjoying family time? That's never been considered anything but rude and obnoxious. Good way to piss people off.

"Hi, I'm from the Democratic Party and we think you might be too ignorant to think for yourself or figure out how to mail in your ballot..."

Any party that has to coerce and bribe people to cast their vote is an empty and failed relic of the past.
 
Steyer's announcement about dropping out was pretty charming - for the first time, I actually liked the guy. He seems much happier now.

He just wanted to beat Trump. Poor guy's heart wasn't into fighting other Democrats and liberals.

I found him to have less personality than "post-it" note, Amy Klobuchar. These two couldn't have made themselves much less memorable. That isn't going to draw people out to the polls lol.

Maybe, but what I mean is that his brand was basically being anti-Trump--he got political recognition for running his "Impeach" campaign. I think Trump is the whole reason he jumped into politics. I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek, but there may be some truth to my joke that he entered the race with his heart set on fighting Trump and then didn't have the passion to fight other like-minded people.

Apparently you thought I was saying that Europeans didn't like Kennedy. No, I was disagreeing with you that only Catholic-haters disliked him...as evidenced by...The biggest JFK dislike I ever heard or read was from a Catholic. Being disgusted with the sad people at my school on the day he died? Making it part of the day's lesson to tell us that? Now that's hatred.

It's one of a thousand odd memories I have. I could write a biography and make millions. Well, maybe 5 bucks.

Backroom dealing? Sure. DNC? Nope. If the DNC had any power at all, those two wouldn't have been running in the first place.

Whatever deals may have been made have been made between the candidates, not by some nebulous 'DNC' entity. Tom Perez probably couldn't even get them to sign an autograph for him.
