Honestly, I've never read any of his work, cept what his tweets encompass.

he’s a really bad writer, his articles are (or at least were since I don’t read them anymore) littered with grammatical errors and misspellings. He’s good at photographing sneakers and complaining about the city though.

Do we see a Dame, CJ, Norm, Larry, Nurk starting?

How about Dame, Norm, RoCo, Larry and Nurk?

I suggested Dame, CJ, RoCo Larry, and Nance. I think CJ fits better with the defensive-minded front-court starters.
Plus I want them to go away from CJ being the focal point of the offense with the 2nd unit and I prefer Norm on the floor with
Ant.

It's the same as NBA.com.

I used to love using their box scores and then they changed it and it became horrible overnight. I still think they tanked their own site to drive people to ESPN (tinfoil hat.)

He definitely does that all the time. That gets really really old.

the formatting for their box scores are atrocious.

It’s very obvious he’s never lived anywhere else. Like bro, welcome to any other major city in the country.

This was my complaint with Freeman and Haynes more than Casey. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened to Haynes if Dame/CJ didn't take a liking to him.

probably true, but when I've mentioned that in the past, I'm told "wingspan!"...I guess that's a magic word like abracadabra
Billups said in his interview yesterday he didnt see a problem as league is getting smaller.
He doesnt hold back on his takes. Said also, he wants Norm and Ant bringing the ball up while dame rest.

so do we now have two "Roco's"? cousin? twin?
Two sets of twins aparently. Dame's and Roco's. Works for me

The post he was replying to included both "Larry" and "Nance".

Chauncey is a brand new coach and I expect him to take any challenge he has in front of him head on. Even with that mindset he said having that small of a forward would become a problem in the playoffs because teams would start targeting that. I think teams will game plan for it from day one. I'm not saying I know better than Chauncey, I'm saying Chauncey has a stake in being optimistic and setting a high expectation for his team... that doesn't always equal reality.

He'd be a terrible coach if he let everyone off the hook by saying some shit like, "Yeah, it's too bad we've got a short guard playing the 3 and two small guys who have struggled defensively their whole careers at the 1 and 2 so we're pretty much fucked on defense and better just out shoot our opponent every night because we're not getting stops." That's not how a coach should be. Even if the situation is less than ideal the coach should expect his team to perform and coach them to do so but that doesn't mean that the results will follow.

Nance said he'll probably be guarding more SFs that are bigger like Lebron...Chauncey said Norm would play alot of 2 guard with the second unit and that they'd adjust in the playoffs as necessary....Chauncey is a very direct and clearly spoken coach..I like him alot

so who are the backups for all those guys?
The point was and still is that at least half of the league has a much bigger lineup and pretty much all of it is bigger. That is IF Nurk can somehow stay on the court (Very unlikely) and Zeller can keep from getting injured (Quite Unlikely).
Blazers lack length. Everyone who is paying attention knows this.

False. "Pretty much all of the league" doesn't have bigger length than Nurk, Zeller, Nance, Roco, that can contribute to wins.

Plenty of other teams have the potential for injuries if not more so than Portland. All three of Brooklyn stars missed large chunks of the season or playoffs. Both the Lakers stars missed large parts of the regular season or playoffs. Golden State hasn't made the playoffs in years, two guards with significant injury history, and little depth. Porzingis in Dallas has significant injury risk and they also don't have a quality 4th and 5th starter as Portland does. Zion has been injured and now has a broken foot.

The Blazers have plenty of ways of not succeeding next season, as is the case with even the best of teams in the NBA.

Yes Nurk or Zeller could get injured, but so could all these other teams superstars.

Early Prediction:

Early on, Blazers will beat nonplayoff teams, but struggle against playoff teams, but the team will play harder than they have in the past. We'll see a series of small mistakes every game.
The boards will rage.
Laker will play well - their 4th and 5th guys will be getting superstar calls
@HCP will tell everyone how smart he is.
Trade thread will dominate.
Everyone will ask "what's wrong with Lillard."
The team's defense will be around 14th, but where did the offense go?

Then, the team will start making fewer mistakes, and pick up some quality wins.
We'll have a win streak that will awaken the casuals.
Charles Barkley will predict that we win the championship.
The boards will insist that Ant and Nas should have been allstars, or at least be future allstars. Ditto with Dame and MVP, and Billups for COY.
We'll establish ourselves as one of the top teams in the league.

Then, the playoffs will start.
No more predictions. With the balance of quality in the league, what actually happens in the playoffs will be really health and matchup dependent.

Two of those guys are 6'7" and the other two aren't quite 7' of course most of the league has contributors that are taller than those four. That being said, the average player in the NBA is 6'6.3" and the average player in our starting lineup is 6'5.2". The average height of our 13 man roster as of today is 6'5.7". Our likely rotation of Dame, CJ, Norm, RoCo, Nurk, Nance, Ant, Snell, Nas and Zeller is an average of 6'5.8". We're small. We start small, we're small overall and we're small in our rotation. Don't be delusional and try and say otherwise.

As for injuries... come on man! We get injured just as much as anybody. Our biggest player is extremely injury prone, our backup C that we just acquired misses a bunch of time, Nance has missed a ton of games. So let's hope, just like the teams you're mentioning are hoping, that our players with injury history buck the trend and stay healthy.

On a side note, how is it possible that Blazers.com still has not updated the roster on their website? Did they lay off their website team? If not maybe they should. Updates like that should be done immediately.
Maybe they are as shocked about the lack of size on roster and are just double checking the numbers.

Blazers.com is pretty crappy now-a-days. Used to be easy to navigate and well thought out. Now if I want info, I go to basketball reference, and if I want videos I go to twitter, facebook or youtube. Not sure whats the point of blazers.com anymore
Then figure out for me who has a better 3 pt shooting percentage team, us or the Lakers like I asked for yesterday bro!

Is there a roster listing of the fall training camp, anywhere?
