Kuzma is overpaid and unaccomplished. Nurk is our starting center on a reasonable contract with no clear replacement (I like Kantner, but we know he's got issues in many matchups).

It brings up an intriguing question: What is more important in the modern NBA, Defense or 3 point shooting?
I think you have to have both, but 3 point shooting is likely more important.

The reason Simmons is expendable to them is because they still have a budding defensive specialist in Thybulle that can now just take the best perimeter player. You don’t get rid of him for a ‘shooter’ like DJJ lol. They would rather give up a 1st than Thybulle.

Simmons and Thybulle (and a 1st) could likely net you Bradley Beal. But yeah, I guess dude, other teams care to make the Blazers as beefy as possible like us LOL.

I still kind of think that Philly is going to give it one more try with Ben Simmons. The trade that makes sense to me (if we're willing to take on the salary) is for Tobias Harris.

I think CJ/Jones for T. Harris and Thybulle balances both teams out. Philly can try moving Ben to PF (but PG on the break) and let CJ iso on the perimeter, which he'd be great at. We can slide Roco down to 1 and play with some more size. I see Philly being very reluctant to take on Thybulle, but that's the cost for Harris' bad contract.
