I'd also say that Japan has a history of being very aggressive against foreigners (not arguing the validity of it). My sister stayed in Japan for a year, and she was treated with much disrespect.

My wife spent time there and she said it was mostly some elderly that disrespected her because she was American.

In Japan that's called Tuesday..those islands sit on 3 major fault lines...Taiwan and Okinawa too...good thing is they happen enough to relieve pressure but not sure they compensated for the HCP adding to the load...might just pop
