I know I really went out on a limb but the most important thing is that if we don't look really good against the Kings we're definitely going to struggle through those next nine games and probably lose seven of them.

I hope Billups deviates from the Stotts method of never giving rookies any burn. I think it helps that we will suck.

As you can tell I’m not very optimistic heading into this season. In fact I’m more pessimistic than I’ve been in years.
 
I just hope I don’t have to see too much of Greg Brown out there. He acts like a puppy dog on the court

I would guess that we will see Eubanks at center for about 18 minutes and Winslow getting all his minutes at PF behind Grant.
The question for me is who, if any, gets wing minutes behind Ant, Hart, and Little........ SS or Keon?

Melt down if we lose this game, I won’t blame you.

We need to come out and prove that we are legit.

Dame showing that he’s healthy and back at it.
Ant showing that he can consistently fill in CJs scoring without missing a beat. Consistency starts today.
Nurk showing that he’ll earn his new contract.

Our young guys off the bench making coaches decisions difficult by performing like they should start.

You can’t make excuses like the Kings missing their rookie. But it might add insult to injury if we don’t handle business.

I'm seriously concerned about the new partnerships of gambling with sports and the constant promotion of it on the internet and TV. I think a couple years from now we will be talking about sports gambling addictions, epidemic of bankruptcies and destroyed lives.

Its already happening, just not talked about.
Video poker has been huge in Portland since i was a teen and ive seen many end up on the streets because of it alone.
I know video poker is not sports but its the same addiction.

For the record, the Kings swept the preseason last year and didn't have that impact in the regular season. They were fun to watch when they played us though.....Murray is out with Covid I hear so that'll be a plus for us

It’s only been roughly 3 years legal and accessible in Oregon, but has been on the East for a long time. The ease of access is a big factor. Oregon launching their Sportsbook app/partnering with Draft Kings.

Any time you gamble, you stand to lose. You have to understand what you are doing. I’ve seen a lot of people upset over it. Which is understandable, as any time you “lose” it’s natural to be frustrated. You just have to make sure you aren’t losing what you can’t afford to lose. In other words, don’t take out a bank loan and use it on gambling. All those Hollywood stories about bookies and mobsters having people whacked because they owe 50K in gambling debt.

Moral of the story is, you’re going to lose. You’ll win sometimes, but you can never count on it because the sports world is actually insane from that perspective.

All it takes is 0.9 seconds to change the outcome of a game. All sports… Players hitting grand slams in the World Series. Pick 6’s late in the 4th. Down to Tiger Woods hitting Hole-In-Ones. Hockey… Take your pick of any sport. What’s the #1 Tennis player? Novak Jokovic? He loses, but he also wins. Don’t bet on him to lose, because he’s going to win. If you bet on him to win, don’t be upset if he loses.
