I thought the Kings played pretty well; they were hot from three and attacked the paint. Probably played better that what their median will be. Essentially, they had the last 25 games of last season to work on their rotation and for the players to get used to each other.
on the other hand, Blazers were fairly ragged. But unlike the Kings, this was really the first time this rotation played a real game together. It's going to take time to become familiar with each other and learn how to play together
and still, the Blazers won the game on the road. Yeah, it wasn't the Warriors or Suns or Bucks. But it was the game on the schedule and Portland won. So maybe, the pre-season really didn't tell us anything after all
