We shouldn’t have doubled Luka. Let him and Dame trade punches. Luka from 2, Dame from 3.
 
Not sure why Chauncey left Eubanks in after Wood fouled out. Dallas went small and Drew didn’t have a matchup.
 
More work to be done. Couldn't hold Luka to his averages. Missed all the injured players. Hart had a very off night.

What do you think his role should be? Making a statement like that doesn't mean it's reactionary.
 
I think we win this with Nurk and Winslow but whatever. Ant needs to watch the 4th quarter on repeat this should be an learning experience for him. This is going to happen to him over and over especially against good teams. Get hunted off the floor.

If they were contested threes you would be right but they were wide open threes and that's a problem

this is called getting played off the floor. He’s gotta figure out how to give a bit more resistance or in the playoffs they can’t afford to have him on the floor.

As much as Simons can watch tapes you can't teach size or wingspan

Simons is undersized for the 2 spot and always will be

No one is asking him to stop Luka. He needs to just not be automatic food to the point they bring a double immediately. Dame was on Doncic a few possessions this game and was a lot better.

You do realize that is 100% of Dallas' game, right?
When they're on, they got a bunch of guys who can shoot.
I do agree that GPII is gonna be there for these moments, so like Hurd just said, "it's all fixable".
 
Funny that people criticizing Ant’s defense on Luka. Luka is arguably the best player in the league right now and has 5o lbs on Ant. It wasn’t like Ant was letting Luka blow by him or missing rotations. He was checking a player that has started the season absolutely on fire.

If it's not Luka is Booker, Edward's, Klay.... There's tons of big 2 guards who will expose him in a playoffs matchup knowing his weaknesses
