So who do you play instead of Dame there? Keon? We don’t have many objectively good defensive players.

Also, Dame wasn’t even involved in the play, so keep your agenda driven bullshit out of this.

Such a reach, but maybe I shouldn't expect better. Please let me know what "agenda driven BS" you are referring to.

It is very cool, but wins are more important than records to me. That is why Walton and Drexler are still above Dame for greatest player ever. Dame is the best scorer to be sure, but you add in rebounding, assists, blocks, steals, defense, MVPs, Championships, Finals appearances, and overall, it's tough to just ignore all of that.
Thanks for expressing your thought process in your counter-argument, I appreciate the dialogue and you bring up great points.

You made a nonsensical comment based on what actually happened in the game and then doubled down on it when you were called out. So you were either

1.) Not actually watching the game

or

2.) Not actually watching what happened

That's not on Winslow.
That's disrespect by the Blazers/Billups of how good SGA is.

I don't understand the defense at the end.
There's got to be some inbounding Defense that set up to deny one player the ball.

Appreciate that. Dame is an incredible player but seemingly for some posters, any reasonable conversation where Dame isn't undebatable greatest is met with 'hater' or 'agenda'. It's opinions on a chat forum. I appreciate any open minded discussion and am open to change my mind if someone brings up a great point.

How do you not double him there? Anyone else.
Eubanks was certainly in position to double right off the inbound, but it didn't appear to be the strategy. He can't leave unless his teammates behind are prepared for it.

.......ah, never mind. Wrong on both accounts, and won't waste my time further with someone who seems both emotional about it....and dead wrong in some of their responses. Feel free to repy, but I won't be able to see your posts for a while if that helps. Not worth wasting time on.

This game was lost before it started. The team decided to rest Nurk thinking they could win it without him. However this OKC team is a feisty well-coached team that just pounded the Grizzlies. Teams have been taking them lightly and overlooking them.

Sitting Nurk definitely set the wrong tone. Awful, awful loss and now we get to wait around for two days to watch this game again.

we had been subbing ant out every defensive possession in the fourth.

the game winner was scored over a guy we subbed in. and he played shit defense.
SGA would get a good shot off against one defender no matter which Trail Blazer it was.
Who would you have preferred?
The game was tied. You can't commit a foul.

We need a LOT more of these if we're going to get a shot at Wembanyama!

Yeah I think it's clear he's not capable of carrying us to the 'ship on his own (very, very few people would be, if any) but the record is amazing and will be remembered much longer than some road-win/loss in an otherwise forgettable season.

Clearly were not watching. Or you're just talking out of your ass to push your narrative.
Funny how he didn't say anything close to insulting let alone personal, he just disagrees with you that Dame isn't one of the 5 best defenders on the club. Way over the top response to something highly debatable.

Lots of blame to spread around for the finish in this one. Hell by the time Dame collided with Hart he'd already both charged and traveled. I'm guessing they're properly pissed about their collective meltdown and will come out focused next time.

I think it's fair for people to think Walton or Clyde are the greatest; especially if they heavily weigh team success in factoring how good an individual is.

For me, Dame is a clear #1, but that doesn't make my opinion any more right/wrong than yours.

We were up 1. I'd have wanted two on the ball. We need GP2 apparently

SGA is going to be near impossible for anyone to stop 1:1, even for GP2. He proved tonight if you play up on him, he'll get by you or draw a foul. If you give him any space, he can stop on a dime and elevate for a clean look. That's why he will be an all-star this year and likely many years to come.

And fuck Gp2 weak ass MFer
I agree with this too, in principle anyways. He probably got away with too much because of his "Golden" aura, he won't change anything. I hope he can space the floor a bit more than the rest of our non-shooters but that's about it.

Tonight is a great reminder of what we lose with no true 7'0" to back up Nurk. OKC could get away with a 6'6" on the court, allowing them all sorts of switching/zone options on defense.

Ideally if you could a real solid 4/5 option for Hart, I think that's the direction the team has to go.

This game was lost due to turnovers… again. We out-shot, out-rebounded and out-assisted OKC. But we committed untimely turnovers in the 4th with Dame having 3 and Ant with the one at the end.

Not worried. No one should be.
I mean, I agree in principle, I don't base my emotional states off of basketball, but what are you suggesting? Like these flaws that continue to be displayed don't matter? Or like I originally said we shouldn't be worried over a sport we watch for entertainment?

Crazy that we have 2 of the Top 10 most clutch players this season.
