Game Thread 2022-23 Game #32 - BLAZERS @ THUNDER - DECEMBER 21, 2022 - WEDNESDAY - 5:00 PM (PDT) ROOT

You don’t have to score off the Nurk post ups on every possession. You can initiate the offense through Nurk. OKC was auto-doubling Nurk every time. And when they doubled Nurk, the other players just stood around and didn’t cut so Nurk could pass it to cutters or shooters.
I don’t trust Nurk passing but regardless, it’s not in this teams DNA.

A large factor in this game is that the Ref awarded 16 more FT to OKC than to the Blazers, and negated Blazer baskets on incorrect charging calls that were instead blocks. The Blazer started this game clearly stronger, gained a lead, led by 5 at halftime, and reestablished a 4th Q lead. But the Refs made sure that OKC had enough change the game calls to win. Let's leave the corrupt refs behind and win in Denver on Fri!

I guess we lost because the league has told the refs to "make sure Portland loses games" This FUCKING place!!!!!

Lol seriously blaming the refs? Lol.

Jerami's game is predicated on getting to the line. It's a doubled edged sword.

Touches help. Grant was 7-14. Our backcourt was 10-30. I've seen this movie before....for almost a decade now. When our guards are stone cold, but someone else is making shots, they rarely get the ball to the guy who is shooting much MUCH better. Instead, they continue to jack it up to the detriment of the 'team'. Watched Dame/CJ do it for years, and now sadly am seeing version 2.0 do the same thing.

I've seen a lot of comments on how bad our bench was, but outside Winslow (who has never been able to shoot) our bench was, 11-16...69%. Dame/Ant shot 33%. The rest of the team shot 59%. Yet the guys who couldn't hit the broadside took almost 40% of the shots.....and guess which group was playing defense?

glad I missed the game and I'm making a point of missing 8 pages of the game thread....I know how both have gone

Dear Diary,
Didn't watch the game and didn't read the thread.

Just thought everyone would like to know. You're welcome!

The charging calls were pretty iffy, but I think OKC was more aggressive attacking the basket, as they have been all season.

8 pages.....I only see barely 3
I only see barley.

Sucking before the trade deadline usually leads to moves at the deadline so....I'm hanging onto that. Watford and Sharpe need to find their offense which has picked up a tad recently but GP 2 coming back is going to change the bench...we're going to see more transition buckets with him. Ant is my new Nic Batum...when he's on his game is beautiful but when he's off I want to trade him for Jimmy Butler or a Jrue Holiday

Oh please no. Loved Nic when he was good. Did not when he wasn't.
Fingers crossed...he's the most polarizing piece to me on the roster other than Nas . Nic had the same effect on me. I know people are super high on Ant. I can relate to that...I just think that like CJ he needs his own team if he's a starter. I also think he brings back an impact player if he does get traded.
