We know the front office is serious about the tank, but we’ll know exactly how serious they really are on Thursday if they bench Shaedon or not.

Unbelievable. The coach sat his best player in the last five minutes to make sure his team lost. Why is this kind of thing even allowed in the NBA? Doesn’t intentional losing undermine the integrity of the game and tarnish the NBA brand? Why shouldn’t Billups be fined or suspended for a dozen games? If a player intentionally lost a game to win a bet he would be barred for the season or maybe for life. This kind of stuff makes me sick.

makes me feel icky but had to be done after the win in Minny. the new in-season tournament might minimize this sorta thing moving forward.

I think it would be more subtle to bench Mays. He's defintely not as good as Sharpe but if he is out the other team can just focus on Sharpe.

I doubt the call came from him. I don't think he's wired that way. I'm betting that Joe called down and that's the last we'll see Shae play this season. It's scary that you can't seem to see that we are playing for next season... even when we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

I actually think the other team focusing so much on Shae is why he needs to sit to secure our lottery spot. Shae attracts to much attention and makes the right play too often. He's the only guy on the floor that has any sort of gravitational pull on opposing defenses. I guess we'll see though.

He actually took out Shaedon

We need to sit Eubanks and Mays also against Spurs.

We all know how you feel at this point and it seems pretty damn clear that you're in the minority.

Obviously there is something distasteful about losing on purpose (and the players aren't doing that if you haven't noticed). But you are continually and repeatedly blaming the team for something that is clearly due to the system. The system incentivises losing so we are losing. I'd go as far as to say it would be idiotic for us to try and win at this point.

The NBA brand? No one pays attention to teams that aren't making the playoffs anyhow. It's the same difference. Billups fined or suspended? I don't like Billups, but what in the goddamn hell is going on here?

Besides, we did try to win. And instead of winning games, everyone and his mother got injured. I'd rather the players heal up and be ready for when we have a real shot at something, rather than potentially injure themselves worse trying to be the best bad team.

Anyhow, you do you, and I'll keep trying to convince myself you are just joking around.

the best backup PG since Dame arrived was Mo Williams. 2nd best was probably Steve Blake, only because he had such a low turnover rate...which is what you want in a backup PG.

I liked Dennis Smith Jr. He was decent.

Definitely more point guard than anyone we had this year, but he’s like a point guard mixed with a comboodle, making him a point goodle vs a proper PG.

Cronin is a lot better than Olshey at finding decent scrubs. He was almost too good at it tonight

I love to think this is some sort of Schmitzian genius dust getting sprinkled onto Cronin.
