Is this worse than last year’s team tank when Billups started and played heavy minutes to Elleby?

Yikerz.

I think it would be wise to not put too much weight on individual performances during the last month of the season when there is is zero pressure on players to win and they're not being required to play a role next to other starting caliber players.

Does that mean Sharpe is garbage and can't be in All-Star? No.

Is this month proof that Sharpe is a future star in this league that the Blazers should build around? No, I think that conclusion is premature as well.
Been saying this and getting slaughtered for it for a month now.

No, you're not allowed to take anything away from this game, or previous games. Unless we are because they're playing hard? But we don't know if they're playing hard because they know they can win? But their starters are out there so they must be? But they're up big so maybe not? I'll wait for resident expert to tell us what we can or can not take away.

I don’t judge it by who he’s playing with or he’s playing against. The game comes easy to stars. Almost at their own pace. To see this kind smoothness out of 19 year old shows me a lot. Already has a lot of tricks in his bag.

Agreed

He is the greatest 19 year old rookie blazer that I have seen in the months of March and April in my lifetime.

Wait wait wait hold on. Did I just read that GS scored FIFTY-FIVE points in the FIRST quarter? Lmao.

Not much company in that group but I agree.

Roy had a nice finish to his rookie year if I remember correctly. I thin Dame was around 20ppg in his last couple months as well.

Dame lost 13 games in a row to finish his rookie season while we were tanking.

Maybe we shouldn't have been excited about his ROY performance either.

I say it before and I’ll say it again. NFL teams that out of the playoffs still plays hard and they play their starters compared to the NBA. NFL cared about their fan base.

Man, F the Warriors continuing to play their starters. I don’t root for injuries, but I wouldn’t cry either.

I'm not rooting for it, but I'm waiting for it.

Jerami Grant gets 'The Enforcer' award? Are you kidding me?

Grant has his talents, but he is almost the antithesis of Enforcer and toughness on the Glass. Is there something else that award means?

I think it's not about being an on court thing, it's how he is off court. Charity, etc.

Sharpe’s energy level has dropped way off this half. He’s walking slow up the court not following the play. Standing in the corner a lot.

I wonder why the change? I know this is a throw away game, but when I see players in the game, I expect them to be fully engaged and 100% effort.

Okay, thanks for clarifying. On the court, he is about as far from Big Mo' as a 'power' forward can be.

The great thing about Dame was we had an entire season of high level production, a summer league MVP, and unamimous rookie of the year selection to help validate the production we saw during the tanking time.

Most could easily identify the differences between Dame's rookie year and Sharpe's rookie year. Again, I'm not crapping on Sharpe. Sharpe might end up being better than Dame. I'm uncomfortable making that claim though.

Roy was 23 years old at that point I believe. With lots of game experience under his belt

Were either of them 19?

Both Dame and Roy were 19 at one point in their life!

Neither got an opportunity to put up numbers in the NBA at that age. Martell Webster and Telfair put up better NBA numbers at 19 than Dame or Roy.

If you don’t play hard in the NFL you’re going to get your shit rocked by someone who is playing hard
