Roy was 23 years old at that point I believe. With lots of game experience under his belt

That is correct. Which is exactly why I'd be uncomfortable saying Sharpe can't be as good as him. My continued stance is that I, personally, am not comfortable making grand statements that Sharpe isn't unworthy to build around or has proven in meaningless games that he is the future.

When I brought up Dame/Roy's rookie year stats it was in response to a comment saying Sharpe had the best March/April of any Blazer rookie in ones lifetime. If the statement was the best 19 year old Blazer in those months I would not have brought up Dame or Roy.

Warriors up 35 with starters in?
I still think the "why are the starters still playing" gripes are far overblown.

I have zero issue with it. I don't think the risk of injury is near as big of a deal as most. Guys could get injured practicing too, but they'll probably participate in a 2 hour practice prior to the playoffs as well.

Jerami Grant gets 'The Enforcer' award? Are you kidding me?

Grant has his talents, but he is almost the antithesis of Enforcer and toughness on the Glass. Is there something else that award means?
Ya hes a free agent and we need him to come back

Both Dame and Roy were 19 at one point in their life!

Neither got an opportunity to put up numbers in the NBA at that age. Martell Webster and Telfair put up better NBA numbers at 19 than Dame or Roy.
Like I said. That group that fits that description is small but I agree.

They don't tend to go all out during practices though.

They don't tend to go all out during practices though.

I promise you, they're not going all-out in this game either.

Many don't go all-out in the majority of regular season games, let alone a regular season game against 10-day contract guys where they're up 50.

I’m all for losing and all to grab that 5th spot in the lottery, but it’s tough to be a season ticket holder and watch these guys lose by 40+ points.

If I was Billups, I’d be embarrassed. Yes these guys aren’t nearly as talented as GSW, but damn, too many bone-head plays and lack of effort.

I say it before and I’ll say it again. NFL teams that out of the playoffs still plays hard and they play their starters compared to the NBA. NFL cared about their fan base.
The Bears sat out Justin Fields the last game of the year to get the #1 pick. David Carr was benched late in the Raiders' season. Indy benched Matt Ryan. Russell Wilson sat the last 2 weeks. Atlanta benched Mariota with 4 games to go.
That's JUST looking at QBs, and not the rest of the positions, but I'm fairly confident it would look the same.
Ys they play hard. If they don't, they can literally die. But coaches and ownership still pull guys. Being ignorant of it doesn't make you right.

they're doing a lot more in this game than they do in practices.

Glad this is going to be over. The last month has been like The Replacements 2, except basketball, We don't have Gene Hackman as coach, and the group of misfits we have suck and won't make the playoffs. Surprised Keanu isn't on the team.

See? Freak shit can happen.

I guess. Wish he played more like his Uncle. 4 rpg for ~$30M/yr for your PF. Not thrilled.
It will be an overpay and he's not worth it because his impact on winning is minimal but we cant afford to lose his salary slot

So the defending champs....who have to win, are blowing out the G-League Blazers.....who have to lose.

they're doing a lot more in this game than they do in practices.

Maybe, maybe not. Either way, how does that relate to the odds of getting injured?

I've seen less stories about guys sustaining serious injures in meaningless minutes than I have in out-of-game workouts/practices.

Jez, take your analytics and shove them where the sun don’t shine. Bucko.

A friend told me Olzendam has some nudes floating around
