Do the Blazers have to fill the 15th spot or can they leave it open? If they can leave it open I expect Jody to do that and pocket any salary or tax savings.

Leaving that roster spot open theoretically gives us more flexibility at the trade deadline too, yeah? Allow us to absorb an additional contract for matching purposes. They can leave it open.
I don't think anyone in the organization really believes the Blazers are a contender this year, so why face increased tax costs? If it were up to me, I'd fill that last 2-way contract with a young player to develop, and leave that 15th roster spot open.
We could probably pick up Mo Harkless for cheap at this point.
I probably agree with you. But, I wouldn't hate him as a backup 3/4.Someone who I don't want playing over any of our guys at the 3, so I'd pass
Crowder would be a perfect addition.I think the Blazers are looking at who is going to be waived around the League and make their decision on the final roster spot by Monday. I think the Blazers would seriously like to add a Jae Crowder if possible.
Because he's the same size as all our other would-be SF's?Crowder would be a perfect addition.
I doubt it; Blazers won't want to risk luxury tax, they probably try to make a move and duck it at the deadline. Adding Favors makes that more difficult.I don't see how they don't jump at Derick Favors for this team. He would add size and strength with a veteran presence. If he makes it through waivers they need to make him an offer. I don't see them taking on that salary. It's a $10 million cap hit.
Cousins or D-Howard for minimum anyone?
I would take a flyer on either. Cousins seems like he had matured and is desperate to get back to the NBA so he will behave. He played well last season with the minute that he had.
Howard can just be a back up plan incase Nurk goes down at some point in the season (which is likely). I would probably start him if my choices are between T-Wat, Drewbank and Howard.
anyone like Crowder for Hart, opens up more minutes for Payton/Keon/Sharpe/NasI think the Blazers are looking at who is going to be waived around the League and make their decision on the final roster spot by Monday. I think the Blazers would seriously like to add a Jae Crowder if possible.
I’m still in the Let’s see what this team can do mode.I doubt it; Blazers won't want to risk luxury tax, they probably try to make a move and duck it at the deadline. Adding Favors makes that more difficult.
Also regardless of salary, does adding a player like Favors make sense for a lottery rebuilding team?

Hot take. With Dame out for a few weeks, and Sharpe starting against Houston, is this our new depth chart?

This team has been fun to watch so far this season. Lots of interchangeable parts. That leads to tons of options for different lineups.
My questions:
- When Dame comes back, does Hart slide back up to starting SF, or will Sharpe hold on to that starting spot?
- Where does GPII fit in? Who's minutes does he take?
- When Watford returns, how does he fit in? Has Eubanks performed well enough to hold on to that backup spot? Does Watford slide to PF?
- Will Nas develop into a player that challenges for more minutes?
I love how Cronin has built this team. It's a nice balance of vets and developing young talent.
