underpaying someone is not cool at all

pay people what theyre worth, simple as that

nurk was already underpaid on his previous contract, if they do it again, he should tell them to go fuck themselves
I mean he is UFA, he can sign with any Team he wants, if they want him, but i doubt that's gonna happen, i dont think many teams are interested in him, that should tell you something. He should accept a Blazers offer around 65-70M because that's what he's worth is

This team never learns...

We replaced CJ with Ant.

We replaced Norm with GP2.

I just don't understand how you can look at our results from the past 10 years and then go right back out and make the same mistakes..... and yet.... the FIRST damn thing I said when I heard that we were bringing on Cronin was that I didn't want the stink of Olshey still on the team. Welp.... here we are. The team still wreaks of spray tan and Appletinis.

GP2 is nothing like Powell though. And there's plenty of differences between CJ and Ant to give that a look.

oh god, here we go with tha analytics again

Basically the vast majority of sports have gone to an analytics approach. Facts do matter. It's not to take away from some things Nurk does well, but the whole "Nurk is worth the max" thing is where credibility gets lost for people.

Smart by them. Much easier to get value back in a trade sending out a wing and receiving a guard/center than the other way around.

Meanwhile we acquire only guards and wonder why we haven't been able to trade for a decent forward in a decade.
We just traded for Jerami Grant. He is decent.
Justise Winslow is also decent on defense.

I liked Eubanks' energy last season, and loved when he said he likes being a guy other teams don't like having to play against because of that energy and hustle. Glad to have him back.

And there it is. We're done.

Fine enough for me. The break-in-case-of-emergency center. I will admit I don't nearly feel as comfortable with Eubanks if Nurk goes down for a significant period, but frankly, I am not sure who else was on the market that I WOULD feel comfortable with should that scenario occur (knock on wood).

Alright boys, I guess we're putting all our eggs in the "Sharpe is gonna be a superstar" basket.

Interesting this came out with the Eubanks news. I guess Lopez spurned us for CLEVELAND?

Whats funny is, Rubio left Cleveland on good terms and now he's going back. When our players leave, they never come back

How close are we to the tax apron? Still think we’re gonna use Bledsoe in a trade or that Roco TPE.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but even if we partially guarantee Bledsoe's deal, in a trade the receiving team will still have to consider his full salary (~19.5 mil?) Do they actually pay him that number or is it just for the books?

I'm not sure I understand. If we trade him before July 10th, they can cut him and only pay him whatever amount we were matching.

Correct. The receiving team only pays the portion guaranteed though if they release him.

So unless we incentivize the receiving teams to take on Bledsoe, he's not gonna get moved.
