Wow, I cannot believe Huerter fetched a first round pick, and from the KINGS no less which has to be their own.

I bet they will still make a trade for a wing.

I am so tired of the hate -- Do not get me wrong I can understand concerns about the roster just tired of the fans and I use that loosely that rip moves without giving any real reason .

If ya want to hate without giving reasons -- basketball reasons -- please stop but if ya want to debate how the moves do not make sense etc that is fine but pure hate for lack of a better word is garbage.

Am I wrong that we are not hard capped until GP2 is signed? No contracts get signed until 7/6 so can we not swing a deal beforehand and then sign him?

We can swing deals beforehand, but nothing that takes us over the apron if we still want to sign him to that deal.

I'm not a hater because i think our roster isn't even close to contend, unless Sharpe, Simons and Little explode

Bledsoe can be combined with other players right? I see a lot of guys on the margins of our roster that can still be packaged together.

Yeah, he can be packaged with anyone.

told you last night, order of operations is irrelevant. if our last move triggers the hard cap, we still cannot go above 157 mil at the end.

What do you mean there's no reasons.......

We have (COUNT EM) 1..2....3....4....5....6...7 guards on this team?

Dame
Ant
Hart
Sharpe
GP2
Keon
Brandon Williams?

We blew up the team midseason last year because we were failing with a three guard lineup. What exactly are we planning on doing going into the 2022-2023 season?

And they're not just guards...... they're short guards.

Dame - 6'3
Simons - 6'3
Sharpe - 6'5
Keon - 6'4
Brandon Williams - 6'2
Gary Payton II - 6'2
Hart - 6'5

In a league where length and switchability is king, we're fucking short.

arent you a nurks hater or have i mistaken you for someone

any chance you and @wizenheimer are related
Lol I don’t hate Nurk, I just don’t suck him off like you do.

He’s a fine player. Not worth the max. Worth about 12 mill in my eyes. That’s far from “hater”.

I think I’ve gotten into more disagreements with Wiz than anyone else, so no clue how you came to that conclusion.

and dame lillard is jrue holidays bitch

so whats your point

This is a forum for Blazer fans. People who like the Blazers. I have no use for a Nurk fan. I'll just assume that your opinions on the rest of the team are irrelevant and put you on ignore since you really offer nothing.

I like Nurk. But, he’s often injured or not engaged and is a slightly above middle of the pack center in the league.

I don’t think Ayton is much better right now. But he’s more available and young enough to come into his own

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but even if we partially guarantee Bledsoe's deal, in a trade the receiving team will still have to consider his full salary (~19.5 mil?) Do they actually pay him that number or is it just for the books?

I'm not sure I understand. If we trade him before July 10th, they can cut him and only pay him whatever amount we were matching.
For outgoing purposes, only the guarantee portion counts for us. For the receiving team, his entire $19M counts towards the cap. However, we can adjust the partial guarantee and give him more money like ATL/SAS did and then they can cut him and save that money. So for salary purposes we could bump his guarantee to $7M to allow to receive a bigger salary back and then the team could cut him and save $12M from my understanding.

AJ Griffin will end up better than Huerter write it down.

You need a nice big pick-up truck for work. Used car prices are crazy. Do just buy an older smaller one and say the newer one "wasn't worth it?"

My boy Drew "Bob" Eubanks is returning too. He's developing nicely.

Rules Question:

Theoretically, since the Grant deal isn’t finalized … can the Blazers fit him under the TPE and then simultaneously trade him elsewhere? [alone or in a package]

IIRC, in a trade including Bledsoe rather than the TPE, he could be moved in a simultaneous trade in a package.

[Thanks, in advance, for the CBA knowledge.]

honestly don't see the point in shipping him out in the grant trade. it's not like we can use the TPE for anything else.
Only point would be to get the 3.9M guarantee off our books, possibly allowing us to take on a little more salary in a future deadline deal.
