The word that I heard from a Kentucky beat writer was that Sharpe wanted to play and Kentucky needed him because of injuries but the coach from the Canada national team who is advising him told him not to. That’s the rumor anyway.
 
Does OKC have room on their roster for all these picks?

He just clarified, he got a message from "someone". It's not that we used the pick or we picked Sharpe. Have to imagine this someone is either connected to someone important or has been reliable in the past if he's this peeved.

Now if we can finagle Miles bridges and Jalen Smith I’d consider this offseason a success

I can't believe Charlotte had Duren fall into their lap and they passed???
 
If we could have got Duren, we would have had the two quietest guys in the entire draft!

Basically, we don't want to use the pick because of some unintended consequences.

When we made the pick, he got a text from "someone" and instantly became super somber. That's the context. Won't say exactly what, but you can probably make some educated guesses based on the fact that we used the pick and didn't trade it.

While we were on the clock he basically said straight up the asking price was 7 + another first + one of nas/hart. And then Joe walked away from the deal.
