I'd give value for him.

This doesn't work, but Id trade the assets from a Brogdon trade & the GSW pick back
Yeah, I would not give the Warriors their pick back for Kuminga. That pick is only worth giving up for Kuminga is this Warriors dynasty was in their prime and you could tell me with 100% certainty that it won’t be a lotto pick. With their age and injury risk, I’m not trading it for Kuminga.

The absolute worst thing that could happen is we trade a pick that could be as good as 5 this year or as good as 2 next year for one year of Kuminga. Usually, healthy players who don’t see the floor much cost less in a trade, not more. Is Kuminga good enough to push Grant out of Portland? I’m personally not sure, maybe even doubtful.

Cronin will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever trade a draft pick. Unless it's one of those crummy 2nds that are locked with protections.

I've now watched the Blazers play in Indy, Cleveland, Philly, and San Francisco.

This was by far the most obnoxiously dumb crowd I've ever sat in as a visiting fan. They all collectively think they don't commit a single foul.

The guy behind me actually said: "wait, two of their guys fouled out? When did that happen? Refs have been screwing us all game." Idiots.

Suuure... the referees made every Warrior not named Curry heave bricks at the rim and throw several stupid passes. Definately bad officiating tonight.

Scoot looked great. Regardless of box score, the team is better managed with Scoot rather than Ant. I thought Ant looked good for his first game but reinforces even more why he needs to be the super sub in the long run.

Loved Shae, Scoot, Tou and Bari. Kris Murray looked pretty competent too.
scoot looked.... not good tonight. unequivocally our worst guard.

Kris Murray otoh, surprisingly useful.

Late to the party because I had to watch this on DVR.

Overall, I think you have to be encouraged this was a competitive game despite no Grant, Ayton, and then Brogdon for the second half. Ant was very good considering it was his first game back. Sharpe was solid one again; continues to show he could be a great #2 or #3 option, but still has no interest in being the #1 option (which is fine). The young guys put a lot of pressure on the Warriors, especially Steph. Despite giving Steph a million looks, he still ended up raising his career average against Portland; the guy is just so talented.

These Warriors games are the ones I want to win the most (considering the draft implications), but I don't feel the least bit bummed with the product on the court.

My concern with Sharpe is that he doesn't look like he wants to be the #1 option. If he doesn't do that he maxes out at like a Jaylen Brown type player. Really really good, but this team is missing an offensive engine type player. So far not seeing that with Scoot. Ant could be a low level one maybe. Shaedon has the talent IMO but just doesn't seem to want the ball.

I agree.... I can't say what he wants, but I can say he doesn't appear to come to the ball or attack the rim/pull up with regularity when he does get the ball. Obviously too early to rule Scoot out for his career, but I think your stance of him not being a go-to player down the stretch later in his career, is the safe one.

If this is going to be a contending team, I don't think the #1 (or probably even the #2) option(s) are on the roster. But we're loaded with #3-#5 options!

i honestly didn't realize Ant took 27 shots. Most if not all came within the offense.

Feel like the situation was begging for him to take more and we needed it. Can't believe Kerr got away playing his big in drop so much against him, tbh. Ant missed a ton of shots he usually puts down.

Last possession in the 3rd quarter Scoot is doubled with the clock going down and Shae just casually watches on the weak side. Doesn't even try to come to the ball to get it or at least relieve the pressure.

Strongly disagree. As did the Warriors commentators. The team played better when Scoot managed the ball. It went downhill when Ant tried to takeover.

That stuff is super correctable. It's not very frustrating or concerning.

Ant doesn't fit this team. And if he did it would be coming off the bench. He froze the rest of the team out of the offense doing his best MeJ impression and being inefficient. Trade him for a better fit.

He has taken games over before but yeah, it's not an every game thing. I also think the veterans have been getting in his way and camping their own shots.

It's a pattern of behavior, stop blaming the vets. Not the mention the countless times Chauncey has has talked about Shaedon not wanting the ball or passing up possessions. Of course it's correctable, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Blazers fired off 46 triples at a 34% clip. (that's a ton of threes and not a good percentage). There was an occasional run at the hoop, but those floppy Warriors kept falling down and getting charge calls.

Sharpe is being played too many minutes in my opinion. He looked gassed that final five minutes and was ineffective.

We're getting killed on the glass. Could have used Ayton tonight.

Shae is a team player. It seems like he drives and dishes the ball out more than anyone on the team. In a way I see that as leadership by example.

I don't think Shae is selfish at all.

Show me an elite #1 option who doesn't look for their own in crunch time though. In some ways, looking for your own when your team needs a bucket is the most unselfish thing you can do. Doesn't mean you have to shoot every time, but if you go multiple possessions in a row without even becoming part of the play, when you're a really really good player, that hurts the team.

Sucks we had so many guys out wanted this more than just about any game this season.

I didn't see anything previously of Grant being out, now see its concussion protocol. Ayton knee then Brogdon leaves with knee soreness. At first thought we were tanking which makes no sense against the one opponent we get their pick. Probably just a coincidence.

Ant gets injured game 1 and Brogdon last night. So that's a grand total of 0 complete games all four of our guards have played in the first 20 games. How many will they play in the last 62 games? I'd bet less than half which is 31, probably more like 20.

So is it really a problem if there's about 20-30 games they all have to share minutes? So probably 55+ or more games only 3 are available. Sharpe could use way less minutes he's been overplayed. Scoot is much better with reduced minutes off the bench. Would be nice to keep Ant and Malcolm fresh over the whole season. I'm just not seeing a major logjam of minutes as has been so often discussed.

That said I'm certainly listening to Brogdon offers if I'm Joe. I'd just be happy to patiently wait for the best offer if that's not until the deadline or even the summer.

Do we play a better brand of basketball without Grant (and/or Ayton)?

I think he's going to be ok, which I did not think previously. Having two guys like Toumani and Jabari to practice against and watch develop and how hard they play should really help him. He can see what he needs to do to get minutes
