Ayton, 10 minutes, 2 points 1 rebound. He's the most over-paid player in NBA history.

Simons got clubbed by Hachimura. There's some good defense right there.

Lakers getting layups, Blazers canning enough triples to prevent a blowout.

overall yes
Yikes, I don't know if the gap is big but I definitely think the Deandre is better on both ends of the court. Being able to hit a corner three isn't everything on offense. To say it's not close, implying Duop's the one who is the better by a wide margin seems silly to me but everyone is entitled to their own take.

I think Coach is about ready to clear the bench. Lakers up 20

It's officially garbage time. Put in the 19-year-olds and other rookies.

Why in the world is Grant still in the game???

Almost every advanced stat favors Reath, and that’s without even taking the eye test into account. Every lineup with Reath does better than similar ones with Ayton. Even PER, which favors raw stats and centers who simply have a high FG % and rebound numbers, somehow favors Reath who does none of that.

I think Ayton is clearly more talented. That’s not really a question, but he’s low BBIQ and plays with half effort half the time. Waste of space.

The Lakers are a bad matchup for us. They are long and lanky and play physical. And supposedly they “just don’t foul” on defense either.

I don't understand why Scoot is out. I have broken my nose both in football and futbol and I'm back in the game as soon as I can get the bleeding stopped.
Slightly different:
He had a nasal contusion.

Probably going to lose the challenge. It was right on the edge of the rim about to come off. A half second later and it would have come off enough to touch it.

Exactly. It’s the truth, not a “take.”

Back to effortless blowouts

Mychal Thompson suggesting the Blazers are stat padding. Playing rec ball defense.

Scoot HAS to develop something that makes the defense honest or he’s gonna have a fruitless career. He’s only 19 so there’s tons of time to tap into that potential
