It better be what they can get for both Harden and Maxey... what the fuck would we want Maxey for... he's great and everything but we need pieces that make sense with what we have.

Why would anyone think that adding another 6’2 guard would be the sweetener that would get Cronin to part with Dame. Has any national commentator actually looked at the Blazers roster?

You guys are assuming that Maxey would end up a Blazer.

Cause the Blazers love guards.

Not me. I'm assuming we would get a haul that was everything us and the Sixers could find for both of them. I think if the Sixers came to us with that offer, if Dame wants out, our front office and theirs would get on the phones with everyone and figure out the best possible haul and then make a decision on if it was good enough for us.

I firmly believe that if Dame wanted out Grant wouldn’t have his new contract.

I don't necessarily think that's true.

If we go into next season and Simons is still here and we don't add anyone else significant..... how is Dame going to be happy about that?

I'm cap dumb; could Grant's resigning be the first half of a S&T?

I dunno. I mean, there was talk that Grant was considering going back to Detroit. Pretty sure dude just wanted to get paid.

But, the Blazers would have paid him if Dame was leaving.

Only if he agrees to it. Otherwise, not likely. Teams usually tell you in advance that it is S&T. If he agreed for the contract, there is 3 months (or Dec 15 earliest, I believe) until he can be traded.

So, they need to agree to a S&T, since the team/agent did not announce it, assume it was not the case.
