I think Ant and Sharpe start and Scoot will get staggered pt guard minutes coming off the bench for at least the first half of the season

Ant/Shae starting is more likely than Scoot/Shae. Make Scoot earn it at least to start the season.

It could be the case of Fox / Haliburton where both Ant and Scoot are just too good to not start and Ant gets shipped for a Sabonis-type return

So Fentress really know something NO ONE ELSE do? (Other than his NBA sauce)

Or is Scoot playing?

I haven't seen it anywhere else. In the past they have ruled him out the night before. Not a PEEP from the team.

Would be pretty funny if they planned on shutting him down, Fentress reported it, and then they decided to put Scoot back out there just to fuck with Fentress.

Uhhh, you have Sharpe playing SF? Surely you aren't saying Sharpe is coming off the bench. That would be moronic.
Either Sharpe plays the 3 or comes off the bench, probably.

I don't think anyone can look at Sharpe in summer league and say, "Yeah. He absolutely has to start no matter what."

He'll start. And I don't get the Sharpe bitching. He's obviously using SL to expand his game. We know he can score - he's trying to defend, rebound, move the ball... To me he looks like a more complete player in SL. Fuck the poor shooting - he hits them when it counts.

Rockets were supposed to be on ESPN. But they have nascar on ESPN.

anyone have a working link? i cancelled cable and am only finding rockets

I'm not complaining. Summer league is only summer league, but shooting this poorly is definitely remarkable even if it's just a blip.

But he's not going to start and move Ant to the bench. That makes no sense given Simons' contract, future with the team, and proven ability to shoot and score.

Obviously all 3 (Scoot, Ant, Shae) will start. I mean, people DO know we're going to be REALLY BAD, right?

I can say he absolutely should start.

Lillard is gone.
What's the point of the 2023-24 season if Sharpe isn't starting?
Banchero's efficiency was terrible but he started and played 35 minutes a game.

what is going inside peoples heads?

I don't disagree with that. Any of it.

The options seem to be
  • Start all three
  • Sit Scoot
  • Sit Sharpe
  • Trade Ant
  • Sit Ant
"Sit Ant" seems to be the least likely.

I guess Billups could also start Ant and Thybulle (edited) in the back court... I don't think many people here would be happy with that. Haha

Banchero was the #1 pick and they didn't have to sit another young guy to give him lots of minutes. I don't see how he's at all relevant here.

Why do you think the Blazers signed Grant and Thybulle? Obviously the team is not all about playing just the young guys. Or younger, since Ant is still young himself.

Sitting Ant, who has a proven track record, has been a starter in the past, is still only 24, and is a key to our future (either as a player or a trade piece) would be a terrible move.

Let's get 121 and beat the SL record for highest score.

Why do you think the Blazers signed Grant and Thybulle?
Grant: a vain attempt to keep Dame.
Thybulle: because somebody signed him to an offer sheet and we couldn't afford to lose an asset

Billups should be fired if he's that dumb.
