They’re also butchering scoots development by making him backup someone who is a chucker.I don't know if we'd have won tonight. Probably not. But we were playing well until Scoot entered the game and immediately showed he has no concept of playing basketball, let alone playing PG. Our big early lead disappeared in a couple of minutes, the crowd was taken out of the game and it's turned into a total embarrassment.
He can pound the ball though... So that's goodI don't really get how Simons, in his 7th season, is still just kinda there.
There doesn't appear to be any kind of plot to their games.
Not too much if GMs are watching tonight. What will we get in return for the vets?

Scoot could easily figure this thing out but it starts with trading simons

I think that's a big assumption. You have to have some kind of requisite understanding of the fundamentals of the game before you figure out how to play at this level. Scoot looks like a linebacker they asked to play because they needed a 10th guy to run.
He might be as far from figuring it out as any top prospect I've seen since Kwame Brown.
He’s def got more immediate potential than Simons. Just as a pg.I think that's a big assumption. I’ll take 18/8 if he can get it on good efficiency eventually over anything Simons could ever offer us.
Im higher on Scoot than anyone, but just realistically speaking it’s worth the risk for us to just go all in on him from that position. We have no other option.
At a moment like that, just keep in mind the Warriors could win the chip this year. You know, I don't think this team is going to be any good this year.
Yeah, I’ll admit I was wrong on him. I bought into the hype and thought he was a specimen. He may be athletic, but has no clue how to use it, his decision making is putrid, his jumper looks like he hasn’t put any work in.
It sucks because when you’re Portland you need to hit a home run on lottery picks. Especially top 3 pick!
That’s funny I see that, but also a 20 yr old with immense expectations and potential that is available in glimpses on the youngest (?) team in the league.OK. I'm just not seeing it.
I see a pro athlete when I look at Scoot. I don't see a pro basketball player.

Just for perspective, could make that current feeling feel differently in retrospect.
I really don't mind this kind of game... if we didn't play Jerami, Ant and Deandre major minutes. Tons of teachable plays for the young guys but Jerami, Ant and Deandre are playing just as poorly and that is frustrating. Just trade them and give their minutes to guys who still have significant upside.
Don't get me wrong 27 for 70 from the floor through three quarters is really hard to take but it would be easier if we didn't have to deal with the fact that 14 for 38 of that was coming from Ant, Grant and Ayton who are who they're going to be and are making 89M between the three of them.
