I have really enjoyed watch Deni and how versatile he is and how he contributes in so many ways, especially now as he is settling is and his shot is starting to fall. He's been quite good at small ball C as well
They’ll need him at backup center tomorrow for sure!

Sharpe's had flashes he looks like a star, taking over games and scoring efficiently against great defense. But most of the time he looks like an average role player and sometimes even worse than that.

It's a matter of him being too unselfish rather than just taking the ball and running with it, regardless of mistakes.

In terms of his impact and inconsistency, he does remind me of rookie and even sophomore Lillard. Big flashes of scoring potential but with mistakes in between. Rookie Lillard obviously had better handles and demanded the ball more but Sharpe's handles are solid enough now that only Deni, him, and the PG should take the ball and handle it with heavy usage. With Deni being off the bench, that means it really should be Sharpe and Scoot/Simons primarily holding onto the ball and trying to call plays.

It's the only way he'll take the ascent. Now, you can blame Billups or even Sharpe for that but I think it's more a matter of Portland having too many players. If this were a contending team, having this much depth would be nice but for a rebuild, it limits development for the young star.

The thing is FAMS….we knew this the first week of SEPTEMBER. Nothing has changed. As long as you/we accept this, games like tonight and whats gong to happen in Indy in 40 hours will not be, nor should be a surprise.

The stats back up your knowledge from September.

I do wish the league would transition back to a more balanced offense, if anything, for entertainment sake
